It's just bad writing. The majority of the X-men treat Scott like he was never their friend, like he was never the greatest X-man. All they remember is the ONE thing he did wrong but they choose not to remember he was possessed when he did it. By the Phoenix. Jean killed billions whilst possessed by the same force and they couldn't forgive her quick enough.

Jesus Christ, I am so ready for this Schism shit to end. It's become exhausting hating Logan, Ro, and the rest of their dickish hypocritical selective memory bunch but I can't help it because they're being written like the type of people I can't stand just to keep up this premise. Just a few years ago, I'd been ecstatic to hear Storm is getting a solo series and now I can do is scowl whenever I see a single picture of her.

The Avengers are even worse off as much as I enjoyed the AvX Cap/Cyke special, Steve was behaving like a hostile toolbag for most of it and it frustrated me seeing him that way because he's my favorite Avenger.

For once Cyclops isn't written as a leader who questions himself and a crybaby pining after Jean (Dead or Alive).Now if they could just do away with this split he could be the true leader of all mutants as he should be!His approach is just enough Xavier and just enough Magneto to make it work

I'm still sticking with my hope that with Wolverine biting the dust in the coming months, that Cyclops just digs himself into a deeper hole and it ends up being Wanda and/or Hope who end up being the ones to finally make some real changes into the treatment of mutants. I'm sick of Wolverine and his team of d-bags and I'm reallllllly sick of this Mutant Revolution crap. Sigh....I miss 2004.

Two points:

1) Damn his art is gorgeous!
2) SugarYumYum, shangho, Shadowmaster35 are all correct!
All this heroes fighting heroes crap is old. I do so wish Marvel would stop inventing reasons for the good guys to fight each other. Don't misunderstand - they can genuinely disagree, be they Avenger or X-Men, but this conflict between four sides/shake up the rosters/more conflict between sides/more shaking of the rosters has got to stop. It's yawn inducing.

I almost would prefer if this team just finally up and became the New Brotherhood. Quite frankly, Emma and Magik are just not nice people. It's clear the Avengers and other X-Men team are going to continually get in Cyclops' way, for whatever reason.

As it stands, it'll probably be his team who are the ones who save Dazzler and stop the "new" brotherhood. I don't mind them as an anti-hero team, especially when it's so apparent they're in the right here, but it'd be much cooler to just make them villains outright. No mind control, not misunderstandings - just... Cyclops wants the mutant race to survive and is willing to do anything to have that happen. Magneto was about mutant superiority, Cyclops is about mutant survival. The best villains are the ones whose motivations you clearly understand and even sympathize with. You can even sometimes root for them even though you know they're wrong. Have Cyclops declare war on humanity. That'd be some epic shit.

I have loved Bachalo's art for 20 years from back in the Gen X days. Haters gonna hate. Read his Sandman stuff if you don't like his more abstract style, or, you know, just bash it and miss out.

@Psyboy: I hope so. That and her FINALLY being free from Logan's dick
so she can be awesome again will be the things that likely change my tone about the solo.

@adamcawa and shangho: I agree with both of you actually. To me, it actually makes perfect sense to me for Cyke to eventually go his own way taking parts of what he's learned Xavier, Magneto, and his own experiences as leader of the X-men/mutant population. I just hate the way they've gone about it. I'm glad Kurt somehow escaped the D-bag virus, it's been a joy having him back.

@bl00dwerk: God, don't even remind me of Kitty and Young Jean. I was in on a LONG three-way rant about those two when AXNM #26 dropped.
