COMICS: First Look At The New DARK AVENGERS Team

has revealed three members of the new team in this teaser by artist Mike Deadato. They will make their debut this June when Thunderbolts becomes Dark Avengers as of issue #175.

There's not a lot of details as of right now, but we do know that writer Jeff Parker will be joined by Kev Walker and Declan Shalvey on the book. Who else would you like to see on the team? For those of you who aren't familiar with the characters below, Skarr is the son of the Hulk, Ragnarok is the clone of Thor who was first introduced in Civil War and the Spider-Man you see is Ai Apaec who most recently appeared in New Avengers as a part of Norman Osborn's team of Dark Avengers. What horrible artwork... Look at thors metal orbs, they arent in line with eather and are not good circles. Spiderman has a lazy eye and hulks hands are three times bigger than his head

It's Skaar son of hulk cyborg Thor and I think doppelgänger, also I thought Skaar was working as an inside agent for cap in last issue,so is this old ?

As a person whose kept up for occasions like this, yes it is Ragnarok the Thor clone, Skaar son of hulk. Also recently Osborn drafted a MAYAN spider god to his team as his Spiderman

Badass trio. Mike Deodato's artwork never disappoints me.
And guys, that's not Thor, its his android clone Ragnarok, but not the same one from CIVIL WAR. That one was destroyed in its fight against Hercules at the end of CIVIL WAR

Well I'm done with the book now. IDC if its just a teaser for the name change, I'm sorry but this is not what I got into reading that book for. I loved seeing second and third tier villains acting as heroes. Shame on Marvel for doing this. A good book shouldn't be dictated by sales, it should be by the quality of the story and characters.

loved bendis' first Dark Avengers series, Osborn is an awesome villain.. but I think we might've seen enough of this by now, at least for a while.. even the greatest idea and character can be overused in my opinion, but I'll check it out to make sure..

@BobHasMyPants - I can't stand the fact that they have to rehash overused characters either! Marvel does this all the time! Even if it's evil versions of another character at least let them look different... Sigh X(

"Thor" is actually Ragnarok, the magic-tech clone from the Civil War that killed Goliath.

The Dark Avengers is made by Norman Osborn, as his way to sneak into the limelight by making the world believe he has the actual Avengers on his side. It sounds crazy, but they pull it off a lot. It's more than them just fighting their counterparts, it's all about power, which Osborn has, and which people trust because he's rich. Think of politicians today that get away with everything because of money and their family name: that's Osborn, but with superpowers.
