Awesome, great art, but I doubt he becomes the "bad guy" again because he JUST became part of the "extinction team" which is also bad ass...

I'm not a fan of the "yeah, he was killing while he was 'good' we just didn't show you" bit they hint up there...

Will read and see what's up...

I bet he's cleared his name by the end of the mini-series.

A character shifting between completely good and completely evil is ridiculous. Magneto always works best with shades of grey. But you can't ever have him switch his ultimate agenda or moral standpoint if you are going to have him flip flop a few months later. Or you can, if you want to write a really crap comic.

I think this is a "not what it seems" story. If Mags is going bad, he wouldn't be on an X-men team and he currently is and is slated to be for a bit.

I would be like "oh shit " except...

SPOILERS* it already says officially that it is Joseph /spoilers

Yeah but that tease for "whats to come" had him squaring off against Psylocke. I'm not saying the above comic will be crap by the way, I think it looks pretty good. I just hope they don't mess around with his ideals too much.

The new movie "First Class" made me like a Magneto in civilian clothings.

..Plus some of those folks certainly look dead one the cover..and I can't imagine the prick spreading the hate is in for too nice a time. Guess we will have to see.

@ Intruder

Cyke just wants to scare them, we don't know how far he's willing to go to do that though, but I doubt he would PURPOSELY kill human to do it.

Plus we all know how misleading a cover can be.

@Victorhugo

Um........don't ALL females in comics have generous assets? (and thankfully so, lol) The last couple issues of Deadpool has the only unattractive females I've seen in years, and she wasn't all that bad.

Ha, that's one way of looking at it......damn, now I'm hungry.

@xcrementus

Is that the fake magneto from the late 90's? I haven't read those yet so I don't know about this "Joseph" guy.

whatever, he wasn't really a 'hero' anyway. he didnt really do anything heroic during his time with the x-men.

@Shadow314- Really? i heard he was coming back but wow. SO now they've flip flopped? He's bad and Mags is good!

Those people on the floor are still making noises....i don't...think they're going down the villainous route here...maybe more of an anti-hero route...

After all he has been shown to still be a member of the X-men...as if Cyclops would condone his senseless killings and let him remain on the team...

I think the title Magneto: Not a Hero is meant to mislead us...

Just because he kills the guy doesn't mean he's a villain. He's standing up again oppression. His methods are rather unorthodox and illegal, but far from villainous.
AC1
AC1 - 11/4/2011, 10:47 AM
@jjmeylar it doesnt get much more villainous than murder. Granted the protesters sounded like uneducated bigots, but Martin Luther King never killed groups of racists, he protested peacefully. Even Malcolm X didnt kill if I'm not mistaken; he used violence but never killed.

@Everyone: Who is Joseph?

Ha! I love it. If they're just standing in a room yelling about stuff it still counts as oppression? I suspect some devils advocacy is going on, here.

@MrEko: Those are positives, in my mind. The 90s was when he had the best runs on all the X-titles.

And I personally don't care what anyone says, I like Rob Liefield, have since I was a kid. His Hawk & Dove stuff is pretty cool.
