COMICS: Relive THOR: RAGNAROK's Hulk vs Thor Battle In Marvel's INCREDIBLE HULK #712

The Hulk is back in the gladiator arenas of Sakaar...only it's Amadeus Cho, not Bruce Banner that's facing the planet's menacing champion. Who is it? Why none other than the Unworthy Thor!

Over on his own title, the Odinson is on a vastly different adventure but here in the Incredible Hulk #712, he finds himself on Sakaar, champion of the Gauntlet.  It's an alternate take on the events of Thor: Ragnarok where the Amadeus Cho version of the Hulk stumbles into events only to find a "friend from work" he thinks might be a potential ally.  Only, the obedience disc on the Unworthy Thor's pectoral makes anything but a friend.

Add to the fact that there's a Dark Hulk inside this new Green Goliath that's always on the verge of breaking free and you have the perfect recipe for disaster.

Why can't movies and comics just be seperate?

@MasterMix - because Marvel don’t have any new ideas.

@MasterMix - Synergy.

Marvel is stuck on the idea that the key to sales is making the comics more like the movies.

@Origame - Except it doesn't. Marvel's sales have been in the tank for a while now and only getting worse. Like he said, they're out of ideas. They just keep rehashing old ideas over and over again. Couple that with forced diversity run wild and you end up with this downward spiraling sales pattern that Marvel is reeling from right now.

@niknik - Yeah, this has been done with not only Marvel but also DC pretty much since CBMs have been a thing. And DC sales have been doing very well. Overall failure doesn't change the fact that using the more popular medium's look to sell your story is a good business strategy.
