SPOILERS: Who Lived And Who Died In AVENGERS & X-MEN: AXIS #9? Find Out Here!

The final issue of Avengers & X-Men: AXIS went on sale today, and this latest Marvel event no doubt had a significant impact on the Marvel Universe! Did everyone make it out alive? Which heroes are now villains, and which villains are now heroes? You can find out right here...

It's been a while since I enjoyed a Marvel event, but Rick Remender's Avengers & X-Men: AXIS has been fantastic so far. The final issue went on sale today, and the events within have definitely had an impact on the Marvel Universe! You'll obviously have to pick up the issue for the story in full, but below are a handful of scans courtesy of X-Men Supreme. Highlights include Loki wielding Mjolnir to take down Thor, but it was a little later on that some really significant changes took place.

While most of the heroes were returned to their heroic or villainous ways, Iron Man cast a force field to protect himself from the spell, and both Havok and Sabretooth were also inadvertently protected by it. That means that Tony Stark is now a villain, as is Alex Summers. Sabretooth meanwhile is behind bars, but it appears as if Marvel are definitely lining him up to be Wolverine's replacement! The one casualty? Carnage! Whether he stays that way remains to be seen of course.

Maybe a setup for eventual Age of Apocalypse? Creed was a good guy and the Summers bros were bad guys. I can't remember what alliance Iron Man was.

Meh at these crossover events. Really been enjoying the solo titles (and the art!) such as

Fraction's Hawkeye
Waid's Daredevil
Edmundson's Black Widow, and Punisher
Kelly Sue's Captain Marvel
Wilson's Ms. Marvel

about to start Soule's She-Hulk!

We don't actually see carnage die.

Just like apocalypse wasn't the real apocalypse.

Onslaught wasn't the real villain.

Just one big storyline full of swerves.

Carnage is already confirmed alive. He showed up at the end of the Nova issue that came out today. He lived through the explosion and was turned back into a psychotic killer by the anti-inversion wave.

Kinda touching with Sabretooth at the end, reminds me of a comic i read where joker becomes batman after he accidentally finally manages to kill him. Like Moby Dick, there's a certain newfound respect gained by mortality. Not really digging Sabretooth as a good guy but i like the idea that without wolverine he is aimless and purposeless. That makes it ok for him to be a hero till Wolvie comes back.

If you want to read good comics then you can't read anything from Marvel or DC.

Well that sucks about Alex he was always one of my favorite X-men why does he need to be a villain still. @gedafe Good catch you are probably dead on there with that assumption which again sucks because Alex was such a evil bastard in that series.

@Reasonnnn

Kelly Sue's Captain Marvel fell off unfortunately. It's not nearly as good as the first series was that started in 2012.
I gotta pick up Punisher though is it that good?

Comicbooks have become too complicated. I remember a time when the most complicated thing that happened was Spidey teaming up with Human Torch in a Marvel Team-Up, or maybe a really huge and special thing like the Avengers teaming with the Famtastic Four to stop a very big yet simplistic galactic threat that was erradicated by the end and mostly everything turned out ok.

I have no idea what the hell is going on now. Most recent comic I've read is Spider-Man's Back in Black.
