Keanu Reeves is currently doing the rounds to promote John Wick: Chapter 4 and recently took part in a Reddit AMA. It's well worth checking out if you haven't already, but there are a couple of noteworthy answers that may offer a hint about what's to come for the legendary actor in both the Marvel and DC Universes.
Asked if there's a role in his career he regrets turning down, Reeves responded, "No...but I did always want to play Wolverine."
This isn't the first time he's mentioned his interest in James "Logan" Howlett, of course, and we know Ghost Rider is also of interest. With Hugh Jackman set to reprise the role in Deadpool 3 (and likely Avengers: Secret Wars), we're not sure Reeves will get the opportunity, but he could always show up as a Variant!
It's previously been reported that The Matrix star has met with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, so both sides might just be waiting on the right character to come along.
That isn't Reeves' only recent meeting, however, as another fan quizzed the actor on whether he's spoken to DC Studios' co-CEO James Gunn about Constantine 2.
"Yes, and me too," he said, confirming they'd met and agreeing that he would like to see the movie happen.
The sequel was announced by Warner Bros. prior to the formation of the new studio and we've since heard conflicting reports about whether it will become a reality. This bodes well, however, and no matter whether the Constantine sequel is an "Elseworlds" project or set in the new DCU, we have to believe there's room for this story somewhere.
