SDCC '14: Watch Full AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, ANT-MAN, & BATMAN V. SUPERMAN Panels
While nothing we didn't already know was revealed at Marvel's panel last night, the full casts for Avengers: Age of Ultron & Ant-Man did assemble, with the Mad Titan included, and put on quite a show. Also, check out the cast of Batman v. Superman together for the first time!
Even though Marvel may have disappointed more than a few who were expecting announcements for future films, they did bring out Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany, James Spader, and Elizabeth Olsen, and based on the detailed description we received, they definitely did not disappoint with the footage they showed from Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, that wasn't their biggest surprise of the night, that title would have to go to when Josh Brolin was revealed as Thanos and came out onto the stage with the Infinity Gauntlet in tow. Pretty cool stuff. Anyways, what did you guys think of Marvel's panel? Happy? Disappointed? Indifferent? Sound off with your thoughts below!
In addition to some impressive footage, we also finally learned a few details about Ant-Man including the dynamic between Paul Rudd's Scott Lang & Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, the villain of the film, Darren Cross/Yellowjacket, who will be played by Corey Stoll, and finally who Evangeline Lilly will be playing: Hope Van Dyne (or Hope Pym?). While there's still a possibility she becomes The Wasp, would you have preferred Janet Van Dyne? Sound off with your thoughts below
Zack Snyder bringing the Trinity of Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, & Gal Gadot from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice was definitely an unexpected, but welcome, surprise. Even though their presence was brief, they dropped quite a few awesome things including a brief teaser and our first look at Gadot's Wonder Woman, which was quite badass. Outside of that, they were fairly brief, we should probably expect more from them next year. What did you guys think of their panel? Happy? Disappointed? Indifferent? Sound off with your thoughts below!
