Justice League's post-credits scene teased a villainous alliance between
Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello) and
Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), whom the former broke out of prison. With Luthor clearly feeling threatened by the Justice League, is seems the
Legion of Doom is all but confirmed to appear at some point, and with a
recent rumor suggesting the members will be introduced over the course of several films, here are the top 10 picks we think would fit best on Luthor's new team.

Black Adam
It's recently been confirmed that Dwayne Johnson's
Black Adam will not be appearing in David F. Sandberg's
Shazam, despite the villain's close ties to the hero in the comics. While DC and Johnson have plans to craft a solo film for Adam (presumably framing him as an anti-hero), what better way to have
Shazam (Zachary Levi) and Adam clash than if the Justice League faces off with the Legion of Doom? After all, Shazam joining the Justice League hardly seems out of the question.
Captain Cold
Justice League made it clear that Ezra Miller's
Flash is still in his early days as a superhero, but the DCEU has already hinted at some of his classic villains being out there. Barry Allen has already taken down a known member of
The Rogues when he stopped
Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) in
Suicide Squad, so Captain Cold's existence isn't outside the realm of possibility. The villain's capabilities are definitely a little more realistic than larger-than-life superpowers, and his penchant for slowing The Flash down might make him useful.
Black Manta
Black Manta will be making his first live-action appearance in James Wan's
Aquaman next year, played by
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. However, with the film's primary antagonist being Arthur's half-brother
Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson), it's likely Manta will be more of a loyal enforcer while the family drama is being dealt with. Being such a well-known villain, it's seems unlikely that he'll meet his end in the film, and joining the Legion of Doom to take revenge on Arthur and the rest of the Surface World could be in the cards.
Cheetah
A true fan favorite and one of
Wonder Woman's most popular foes,
Cheetah would be a welcome addition to square off with the daughter of Zeus. While we don't know if the villain will be utilized in
Wonder Woman 2 (which will be set in the past once again), the "curse" aspect of the character's powerset could easily be transferred to an individual in the modern day. The fact that there has been multiple iterations of the villain certainly works in her favour.
Bane
Now, yes, we've seen
Bane take on the Caped Crusader on film before; twice, to be exact. However, while Tom Hardy's delivered a superb, grounded take on the man who broke the Bat in
The Dark Knight Rises, some fans still crave a true-blue version of Bane on the big screen. The villain's brute strength is equally matched by his cunning, which would make him a wonderful addition to the Legion. In fact, Bane can be seen as part of one version of the team in DC's animated feature,
Justice League: Doom.
Metallo
Superman has faced off with three of his classic villains so far in the DCEU, but outside of Doomsday, they've all been adapted on film before. It's no secret that people are longing for a fresh Superman villain onscreen, and
Metallo just might fit the bill. Fans thought they might get a version of the villain in 2016's
Batman v Superman, when Scoot McNairy was cast as a mysterious character in a wheelchair, though he turned out to be an expendable Superman-hating pawn for Lex Luthor. Kryponite does exist in the DCEU, so crafting the robotic villain may not be out of the question (though Luthor may have to steal his kryptonite back from Batman).
Gorilla Grodd
This may seem like a long shot given the setup it would require, but it's probably fair to say that
Gorilla Grodd would be a fantastic addition to the Legion of Doom. In addition to being one of the most popular members of The Flash's rogues gallery, Grodd has a notable history as a founder of the Legion of Doom in the
Justice League animated series (dubbed the Secret Society). If there is a plan to introduce the Legion members ahead of time, introducing Grodd in a
Flash solo film might pave the way to his eventual membership.
Bizarro
Bizarro has a long history in comic books, and some recent iterations of the character have him as a Superman clone created by Lex Luthor himself. Eisenberg's Luthor seems obsessed with the idea of Superman as a god, and he's already created one Kryptonian abomination in Doomsday; who's to say he won't try again? Having his own Superman would be advantageous for Luthor in many ways, though one thing's for certain...they'd probably do away with the "Bizarro speak".
Reverse Flash
Of all the
Flash villains on our list, we're going to put this down as our most likely.
Eobard Thawne/The Reverse Flash is Barry Allen's worst enemy, and while his presence in the upcoming
Flashpoint film is a no-brainer, the time-travelling menace always seems to find a way back to torment Barry as much as he can. If WB plans to set up the baddies in separate films, Thawne would probably be the easiest to introduce and implement into the Legion of Doom.
The Joker
The reception to Jared Leto's
Joker in
Suicide Squad was mixed at best; some felt the character's design was atrocious, others felt we just didn't see enough of him to form a definitive opinion (it didn't help that most of his scenes were left on the cutting room floor). Love him or hate him, Leto has expressed his willingness to return as Batman's iconic arch-nemesis in a larger role. If the character doesn't have a place in Matt Reeves'
Batman solo film, it's overwhelmingly likely that the Clown Prince of Crime could have a place as the Legion of Doom's wild card.
