DEADPOOL 2: The Merc With The Mouth Gets Some Help From The X-Men In This New Batch Of Stills
Wade Wilson takes centre stage in the latest issue of Empire Magazine and we've now rounded up all the new images from Deadpool 2 featuring fresh looks at Colossus, Domino, Cable, and much more besides.
Deadpool 2 is just days away from hitting theaters and Empire Magazine has now decided to turn its attention to the Merc with the Mouth. They're admittedly a little late but there are some great shots here as we get to see the full extent of the powers that the mysterious mutant played by Julian Denison has and plenty of new looks at the X-Men and X-Force members Wade will need to look to for help.
The sequel is definitely shaping up to be something special and these latest images offer a really good ideaabout what we should expect. My favourite is probably a closer look at Colossus (a character this franchise has nailed) but to see the whole list, all you guys have to do is click on either one of the buttons below. Once you're done, be sure to let us know your thoughts on them in the usual place.
Negasonic Teenage Warhead's updated costume looks seriously awesome and it's hard to imagine even Marvel coming up with a better look for the X-Men. Surge, meanwhile, looks like a badass.
Domino was so popular with audiences in test screenings that the decision was made to give her a larger role in proceedings and this awesome action shot shows the hero kicking some ass.
Wade Wilson's relationship with Blind Al in the comic books was very layered and often disturbing so it will be interesting seeing how that develops here. Here's hoping things don't get too dark.
While it was initially thought that Terry Crews would be playing G.W. Bridge, we've since learned that he's actually taking on the role of X-Force member, Bedlam, a relatively obscure character!
After a series of disappointing appearances in the main X-Men franchise, Colossus being treated right has been a must in the eyes of fans for some time. Who'd have guessed it would come in Deadpool?
It's still not clear whether or not this is a key part of the sequel's story or just a very cool looking fight scene but it certainly places the Merc with the Mouth in some very unique looking surroundings.
We still don't know an awful lot about Julian Dennison's mutant character but this image makes it clear that he's extremely powerful and that could explain why Cable travels back in time to kill him.
Why does Ryan Reynolds have a beard here? Is it because this still is from those reshoots or because he didn't need to shave while he was suited up as the reluctant hero? Honestly, we don't know.
What's Deadpool up to here? Who knows! Funnily enough, though, quite a few images have shown him at this location so it's possible that this is where a fairly significant action scene takes place.
Negasonic Teenage Warhead was the first movie's unexpected breakout character, so it's definitely good to see that she's returning in the sequel and seemingly being given a more significant role.
Leading up to the release of Deadpool, the Merc with the Mouth's relationship status has been something of a mystery but things are clearly going well with Vanessa based on this new shot.
Josh Brolin blew us all away with his impressive performance as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War but he'll get to take on a very different role here and it's fair to say the actor looks the part.
Why is Wade Wilson behind bars and wearing what appears to be a power dampening collar? My guess is it has something to do with the kid and it's hard to say when in the movie this happens.
The Merc with the Mouth definitely looks overwhelmed here, don't you think? What do you guys make of these latest images from the sequel? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section.
