Hey everyone! I have decided to have a little fun on the site, and from here on out, I am going to be doing fan casts for Batman, Green Lantern, Zatanna, The Flash, Hawkman, Wonder Woman and Superman (in that order). Each of these will all eventually be leading up to a fan cast for the Justice League!
The reason I am posting this article saying that I have picked Hedlund for Batman, is that I want to put cast additions up seperately so fan reception towards them can be centered on each character equally and not be overshadowed. It also adds a level of excitement and it gives me time to figure out whether or not a particular actor should be cast, rather then picking an actor for the sake of posting the rest.
Now, onto Garret Hedlund being picked to play Bruce Wayne/Batman. This is probably making you go "WTF?!?!", because Hedlund really does NOT come across as an ideal fit for Bruce Wayne, LET ALONE Batman. But Hedlund is actually pretty capable of playing Batman, in fact, he could possibly do wonders with the role.
Hedlund for the most part just seems like a pretty boy that has not proven himself to be much of a serious actor, but that is not true. He was in Four Brothers, where he was pretty damn serious and was a damn good actor in, and he was in Death Sentance, which is a perfect example of showing off how talented Hedlund is. In Death Sentence, Hedlund is so perfect in his role, that you would never even know it was him! Hedlund has great talent, and him playing Batman would just further solidify himself as being one of the best up and coming actors in Hollywood.
His acting skill is perfect! His voice is also great for Batman I think, it is very deep. So deep to the point that he could make Steve Rogers possibly sound like a girl (I kid, I kid). But his voice could fit Batman itself without him having to make up some raspy, annoying voice as Bale has done for Batman.
I would really recommend trying to find videos of Garrett on YouTube so you can really get a good sense of his range of acting!
I am hoping that you guys will see where I am coming from and realise that Hedlund is a great choice for Batman, and in the comments maybe you could tell me what you think? Also, I want to have a little fun with all this, so in the comments I want you guys to pick your top five picks to play Vicki Vale!
