"
Who am I? I'm your worst f**king nightmare!"
Real Name: Albert Francis "Al" Simmons
Height: 6' 5"
Weight: 455 lbs.
Hair: None
Eyes: Glowing Green
Origin
Al Simmons was a very intelligent and physically strong soldier in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He later joined the United States Secret Service and became a highly decorated member. This led to his promotion to the CIA. In the CIA, he was recruited into a special division known as the U.S. Security Group, a task force with jurisdiction in all domestic and foreign situations.
Jason Wynn (the director of CIA) and Simmons began to butt heads more often and Simmons planned to resign.
Wynn ordered an assassin (initially Youngblood's Chapel, but later retconned to be Jessica Priest after arguments with Rob Liefeld) to murder Simmons. Simmons was sent to Hell, due to his life as a mercenary, and made a deal with Malebolgia: Al would be reborn a Hellspawn.
Powers and Abilities
Spawn's body is quite dense, weighing over 450 pounds and is composed completely of necroplasm. This gives him superhuman strength and durability. While he still has internal organs, they are only semi-functional, however their damage or destruction does not hinder Spawn at all. These organs magically re-appear when he regenerates his wounds. This may be due to Spawn's inability to let go of his human self, retaining his human organs even though he no longer requires them.
Spawn wears a living symbiotic costume, Leetha of the 7th House of K (also known as K7-Leetha). While wearing it, the host assumes a dominant role over his suit. His shroud, spikes, chains, and skulls are all part of an organism bonded to his central nervous system that will protect Spawn even if he is unconscious.
The true source of the costume is the necroplasm in Spawn's body, from which it feeds. It is possible for Spawn to draw this energy back when he needs it, using it to power his abilities without draining his own reserves. The costume can also feed off evil energy from the physical world, feeding off the ambient evil of people, animals (mainly carrion insects, but also wolves, coyotes, common house cats (though in the comics the cats are always black), fictional giant rat-like rodents, bats, red foxes, and mongooses) and even certain parts of cities (Detroit, New York City, Los Angeles, and in Spawn: Resurrection, Albuquerque is alluded to). A part of his physical powers actually comes from his suit, because of its connection to his nervous system, Simmons is able to shift its shape, including the manifestation of spikes, armor plating, or transforming the shroud into a battle axe. The shroud itself is an effective offensive weapon able to strike in battle with its extreme precision, severing limbs, and/or disarm enemies with specifically angled pokes and prods.
Spawn has vast magical powers. Spawn has a limited power supply whose quantity would be shown to the reader in the form of a counter that began at 9:9:9:9. Each time Spawn used his energy, the counter drains. Consequently, Simmons relies primarily on his costume's natural abilities or weapons rather than the magical abilities in combat. Though the power source is finite, Spawn's biggest limitation is imagination. Simmons' powers were said to be inspired by Jesus in an interview with the author. Simmons uses this ability in various ways, including resurrecting the dead, firing blasts of necroplasmic energy, teleportation, flamebreathing, shifting shape, flight, and curing the sick. Spawn is practically immortal unless beheaded by a weapon of heaven. He is also rendered powerless (and therefore mortal) in a patch of alley known as "The Dead's Zone": a small patch of Earth that is Heaven's domain and in the ethereal realm of the "Greensworld."
Following the Armageddon storyline, Spawn's power level has decreased, deriving most of the power he has left from his symbiotic suit.
Simmons is a highly trained soldier proficient in both armed ranged and unarmed melee combat. Spawn's training is to the extent that he chooses to use firearms over his magical abilities.
Spawn has an ability to "feel", or "sense" or "be cognizant of" misery, pain and hatred as both a gift and punishment given to him by The Keeper, an agent of the Emerald Parliament of Greensworld. He is aware, even subconsciously when someone is attacked or murdered because he has gained a further affinity with the creatures of the night and shadows and through them experiences the anguish of all mankind.
Spawn contained an unknown quantity of lost souls who can share his Hellspawn abilities, collectively known as Legion. Detective Twitch theorized that the souls that Spawn carries are those that died during the same hour that Al Simmons was killed, and that there could be as many as 6,000 souls within him. The power from these souls rendered Spawn uncontrollable by Malebolgia, and after the souls move to a higher plane, Simmons retains their knowledge and experiences. Spawn can also cause these souls to manifest themselves physically as Hellspawn, allowing them to appear and aid him in combat wherever he is. The Armageddon ordeal grossly reduced the effective force of the Legion from 6000 souls to a mere dozen: however, since the souls left are the strongest and most tempered to battle, the strike impact of the force didn't change so much.
The Legion is shown sharing a symbiotic relation with Al Simmons, who's left in pain whenever one of the Legionnaires is slayed. Ultimately, the last of the Legion are killed off by Morana, Al Simmons' daughter, depriving him of the ability to summon them anymore.

What will you do when your friends, your enemies, your lover, are all Darkseid? When there is one body. One mind. One Will. One Life that is Darkseid. Will you be the enemy of all existence, then?
Real Name: Uxas
Height: 8' 9"
Weight: 1815 lbs (825 kg)
Eyes: Red
Hair: No Hair
Origin
Born of the royal family of Apokolips, Uxas is the younger son of Yuga Khan and Heggra. As a young man, Uxas longed to gain the throne of Apokolips, but had opposition in his peaceful brother, Drax. Uxas plotted his whole life to supplant his brother and mother (his father having long been lost in the Source Wall). During this time, Uxas travelled to New Genesis and met a young man, peaceful and innocent in nature. Seeing potential in him, Uxas released his pet bird, then told the boy that his pet cat had eaten it, convincing him to avenge his pet by burying the cat alive. However, when the bird returned, the cat was already dead, and the boy strangled it in rage. The boy soon took the name DeSaad, and would become Uxas' most trusted adviser, and possibly the closest thing Uxas had to a friend. Finally, Uxas saw his chance when a connection to the Omega Realm was discovered. Drax was intended to connect with it and assume his godname, but Uxas interrupted the process and took the power for himself, supposedly killing Drax in the process. When he emerged, he took the name Darkseid as his godname.
Powers and Abilities
With the Omega Effect at his command, Darkseid is able to bring an end to anything he sees. He unleashes this awesome energy through Omega Beams from his eyes. These beams are controlled with fearsome precision. They can bend, twist, turn, pass through matter and energy to reach Darkseid's target. The Omega Beams are not just heat or destructive energy, though he could incinerate enemies and destroy worlds with them.

WIth the Omega Effect, Darkseid can teleport targets anywhere he desires, or transform them into creatures at his bidding. He can set off all the pain receptors in a target, or erase a being from existence. For the latter, Darkseid rarely uses this, easily the most unnerving aspect of the Omega Effect. For if an opponent would be worthy enough to face this final punishment, Darkseid would prefer to crush their spirit and force them to pledge their obedience. It has also been noted that a few beings that are key to the stability of reality are immune to the Omega Effect. With the Omega effect, Darkseid is also capable of raising the dead.
Another ability at his command is the Omega Sanction. With it, he can trap a target in an alternate reality and force him to experience a succession of lives, each worse than the previous one.
Darkseid himself stands over 8 feet tall (He possesses the physical capacity to increase his size (Darkseid can grow hundreds of feet tall or shrink back - Countdown to Final Crisis #2)
He possesses incredible physical strength. He has been able to defeat Superman with his strength alone. He also has great stamina and durability befitting his role as a god. He can heal at an incredible rate from the most grievous of wounds, and is of course immortal. He can create life from nothing, de-evolve beings, and can transform beings into creatures at his command. Darkseid's control over matter allows him to transmutate molecules. He has also shown able to travel through time and teleport himself or other beings by thought. Darkseid has also shown vast psionic abilities that include mind control, telepathy and telekinesis. Darkseid is also able to manipulate numerous forms of energy for the use of force-fields or energy attacks. He has shown some control over his own body which has enabled him to grow to massive size, such as when he fought Jimmy Olsen.
As strong as he is, Darkseid is even more cunning. He relishes in manipulating people and events. His military strategy and planning rival that of any God of Wars. Surprisingly, or not considering his ego and raw power, Darkseid has an almost noble sense of honor. He is good to his word, and craves opponents worthy of his time. Though he has been known twist the words of an agreement to benefit himself.
