Synopsis:
In a hidden bomb factory deep within the core of a faraway planet, thousands of androids are created and enslaved to do the bidding of their overlords. Day by day, the androids build bombs to fund the war effort of the planet, never seeing the light of day or given time to rest. When the overlords decide to hold a tournament pitting the slaves against each other in fights to the death using the very bombs they make, a single android emerges victorious. Shirobon is deemed as the best bomb maker in the factory. After the second and third place winners are named, the tournament ends and work returns to normal. The winners are given the simple prize of a temporary reprieve from work, and are allowed to stay in the company of the overlords for a time. Separated from his fellow workers and slaves, Shirobon finally sees with open eyes the horror of his life. Determined to discover the true meaning of life beyond slavery, Shirobon launches a one-man crusade against the overlords in an attempt to reach the surface, and find his humanity. However, the second place winner, Kurobon, has been tasked by the overlords to take his brother down at any cost and is promised with the reward of humanity and freedom. Now Shirobon is on a run, for the sake of his life and all the other androids. Will Kurobon stop him, and will Shirobon make it to the surface?
In case you were wondering, my idea for the story is taken directly from the lore. It is a mixture of the original NES game's story, and the recent title they added to Xbox 360 that featured Bombermen that looked like Master Chief.

Now on to the fancast, or what I have of it so far.
Keep in mind that the roles are mostly mocap, so you would be hearing their voice. The characters are cyborgs until
SPOILER
Shirobon escapes at the end of the movie
Shia Labeouf as Shirobon/Bomberman/Cheerful White

Despite the stigma on Shia, I still love him. He's a great actor, but he's handed less than Oscar worthy roles. He has the voice I would imagine a real life Bomberman might have, because he can play the innocent and young role well. Plus, he's not afraid to get gritty in his roles; he's done serious before. He would be able to add that almost human touch to the cyborg's personality.
Topher Grace as Kurobon/Black Bomber
Topher is awesome. He knows how to be sarcastic and snarky, and he's played a couple good villain roles, like Predators and Venom in Spiderman. In my opinion at least.
Other notable characters might include the Red Bomber as third place winner. I'm not sure who to cast as the "overlords" of the factory just yet, or who would act out the random guards. I'm thinking that a good portion of the movie will be Shirobon escaping the factory, which would include some cat and mouse play between Shirobon and Kurobon. The movie would have a lot of great SFX, probably with many explosions. Actually, someone like Michael Bay could do it right. However, he's not known for his story touches, so it's up in the air.
If anything is done right in this movie, it will probably wind up looking like Steampunk Tron.
