Dragonball Z Fan Cast

I think one role that Ryan McPartlin would be perfect for is Goku. He's got the funny and goofy side, but is a decent serious actor as well.

Overall, you have some pretty good picks. I especially like Kane as Vegeta, though I might go for Sam Witwer as a personal preference. And I'm not sure about Watanabe as Roshi, just doesn't seem right for that part. Kitsch also seems a little too young for Raditz IMO. I like the rest though. Good job.

not bad, but i just think dragon ball is one of those things that should not be done in live action. i mean, your never gonna get that same highly over the top style!

I agree with some of them. I think colin ford is a good choice, and andy serkis - but he should be the voice of Frieza, and frieza would be CGI.

Frieza and cell etc = CGI (f4 - silver surfer style)

Robert Pattinson (probably someone else, just that kind of look) - older gohan (if ever gets to buu saga)

Kristen Bell/ Elisha Cuthbert/ Laura Seay - #18
Jackson Rathbone/ Vincent Kartheiser - #17.
John Cho/Rick Yune - Yamcha.

And CGI Korin and Puarr (Adapted designs - Puarr as a gadget shapeshifter made by Bulma for
yamcha, and Korin as an all-white CGI snow leapord (to give the deity feel)with misty teleporting abilities to show speed).

I would also like to say how disgusted I was with Dragonball evolution. I actually wrote a tonne of fan fiction for all the movies and adapted storylines for them because. they should be more like todays awesome movies, like Transformers and Iron Man - Funny, Epic, Serious, awesome. And wtf fox, transformers was as big as dragonball, and you gave it 35 million dollars, whereas transformers got 120 million. Get good directors and writers in for fox sake

Yeh Id love jensen to fit in somewhere, was pretty disappointed when he was out of the run for captain america, he'd do great as a super hero.

@Tom...Im curious,why would you choose Townsend as Vegeta???

@Gambitaceofspades I took my time with the decisions, for example between this next raditz movie and vegeta, maybe some time could pass for a plausible recast where needed. I chose jason behr because he is a good actor who is capable of showing sympathy, and gives the right vibe for goku. As for townsend, he is the same age as Jason, and like Jason, he ages gracefully I think. And if you have seen Queen of the Damned, he REALLY sells royalty and power, and I can also see him selling a fall from pride, like when vegeta is killed by frieza, he pours his heart out to goku. And also importantly in the vegeta movie, he would do well at conceiling his true intentions. He was meant to be in Thor coming out next year, but unfortunately there were complications.

the only problem i would have about this is Taylor Kitsch as Raditz. he has the eyes but i just can't condone him as Raditz.

Not bad, but I think it needs more Asians. While Goku looks white to me (especially in super saiyan) Yamcha looks Asian. I don't think race is a huge deal, but it would be cool to have it be a very multi-cultural cast.
For Goku, to please everyone, I think going with someone of mixed descent might be a good idea. For example, I think Jon Foo who played Jin in the Tekken movie looks like Goku. Not sure about his acting ability though.

Like the character in DBE was not Goku. Just a twisted version which is not cool. But if the storylines are adapted to a degree, in order to frame the situation, then I think it would be ok.

Like for example, if they ever made an androids movie, maybe Gero is able to make android 16 because of the way meta-cooler was killed (a sliced piece not destroyed by trunks) which was retrieved, and fast-tracked his android program giving him more time. Whereas in trunks' alternate timeline, goku completely destroyed him.

Jensen as Trunks would be cool...Tahmoh Penikett would make a good Saiyan...
