Synopsis:
Taking place directly after the events of TDK (The Dark Knight) ,the first season arc of twelve episodes centers on disgraced Gotham City Police Detective Anna Ramirez.
Facing charges from Internal Affairs & death threats from the remnants of the mob, Anna finds herself in a struggle to stay alive and one step ahead of everyone … Ramirez comes under the attention & tutelage of enigmatic vigilante : THE QUESTION !!
She begins doing legwork for the Question who is investigating Gotham PD & later the Mayor re: Harvey Dent & Batman’s apparent connection.

Monique Gabriela Curnen is Detective Anna Ramirez
Other than her life being spared by Harvey Dent / Two-Face,
Ramirez’s fate at the conclusion of TDK was unclear. Season one would focus on her quest for redemption.
Keith Szarabajka is Detective Gerald Stephens
Szarabajka would reprise his role as Gordon’s flawed right hand man trying to make sense of the changes going on in Gotham’s underworld crime scene & the betrayal by Anna.
Anthony Michael Hall is Mike Engel
Reprising his role as on-air personality Mike Engel, Hall is shown as a paranoid shut-in harboring a secret that could get him killed.
James Gandolfini is Harvey Bullock
Introduced in this series as a member of Gotham’s Internal Affairs, a hard ass with a chip on his shoulder because of Harvey Dent’s death. Anna Ramirez’s chief tormentor on the police force.
Eric Roberts is Mob Boss Sal Maroni
Maroni seems to have nine lives (albeit a little banged up) and has been sequestered in the Witness Protection Program and hasn’t missed a step. He continues to run his crime family with the help of some corrupt marshals.
Nestor Carbonell is Mayor Anthony Garcia
The mayor is in the midst of a heated reelection campaign against independent Oswald Cobblepot (Season 2). The Question has discovered that the good mayor’s campaign funding was provided by mafia backing.
Norman Reedus is “The Creeper”
This seemingly insane individual is used as muscle by The Question and is kept in squalid conditions in an undisclosed location. This individual has a disturbing connection to the Joker (Season 3). Uses a frenzied, acrobatic and feral fighting style that is highly unpredictable (similar to Muy Thai, free-running & Kempo).
Kelly Hu is Lady Shiva / Sandra Woosan
A Martial Arts Grandmaster and Assasin-for-Hire, Lady Shiva is initially hired by Maroni to tie up some loose ends by taking out Anna, Gerald and Mayor Garcia … She observes The Creeper & decides to challenge him to a fight to the death. Shiva is a member of the “League of Shadows” and is seeking The Dark Knight for unknown reasons.

Faceless vigilante governed by a strict code of ethics and an unseen thorn in the side of Gotham’s underworld. Primarily seeks to expose city wide corruption & ensure justice is served without bias.
Seeks to understand the nature of Anna Ramirez’s betrayal of Gordon & ultimately helps her find redemption.
Has discovered “The Creeper” and partially rehabilitated this maniac. Side mission has him seeking the Joker to discover how the “Creeper” was created.
OVERVIEW:
12 high quality episodes presented once a month that match the quality of Nolan’s Batman Universe in look and tone. There should be nothing formulaic about this series. It should be shot using the same locations that Dark Knight used primarily in Chicago.
The city must remain a character in and of itself. Action should be of the cinematic tent pole movie variety.
