Every hero has a journey. Every journey has an end. Christopher Nolan returns to complete the epic Gotham trilogy that launched with Batman Begins and reached the stratosphere with the billion-dollar blockbuster The Dark Knight. Inception's Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levett join the cast regulars along with Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and Tom Hardy as the powerful villain Bane, while Oscar winner Christian Bale prowls the night as the Caped Crusader, fighting crime and corruption with the help of Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman.

I think, just as Begins was about fear, Rises will be about "pain." Batman dealing with the pain of his memories and injuries, while Bane uses his venom gas in part to mask his pain. Bain runs away from his pain, while Batman ultimately will embrace his own.

I think the tagline for the last one should be "why do we fall?"

It doesn't need the whole line. It was covered in Begins and TDK. Even for people no didn't see BB, everyone saw the sequel and should know how to finish it, making the name of the film stronger. Audiences aren't completely stupid. So to spell it all out ruins the mystique. The title implies the "so we can pick ourselves back up" part.

@theWorld: Ummmm...It's not a run on sentence. "We" is the subject. "Fall" is the predicate. "To learn to pick ourselves up" is the prepositional phrase. I'm pretty sure that is a proper english sentence. I don't know where you went to school.

loving the 4th in particular, that's my new desktop sorted!

would have liked Bane to have a bit of height over batman in the first one, I'm not joinging the "HE'S NOT BANE" crowd I what we've heard so far implies he will look taller in the film and the idea is that he's a physical threat.
