Marvel Knights:
Marvel Knights is a Marvel Comics imprint which deals with more mature themes than the Marvel Universe imprint, but not such adult themes as touched on by the MAX imprint.
“These stand alone stories won’t just challenge readers to re-think their favorite Marvel legends. Oftentimes, we’ll focus on characters that are off the beaten path — boiling these archetypes down to their cores. We want to build on the tradition of limited series like Ennis and Crain’s Ghost Rider, Frank Cho’s Shanna, the She-Devil and Robert Rodi and Ribic’s Loki -- each of which offered very distinct visions for Marvel characters, and each of which -- judging by sales numbers -- were embraced by fandom.”
Axel Alonso, Marvel Knights editor.
Marvel Knights also became a film banner featured in mature movies like Ghost Rider 2 and Punisher: Warzone.
ON TO THE FANCAST!!
Daredevil/Jensen Ackles (Supernatural, Smallville)
DAREDEVIL: As a child, Matt Murdock was blinded by radioactive waste while saving a stranger. In turn, his other senses were heightened to superhuman sharpness, and he gained a form of "radar sense". A successful trial lawyer by day, by night he guards Hell's Kitchen as the "Man Without Fear" Daredevil.
JENSEN ACKLES: Jensen Ross Ackles (born March 1, 1978) is an American actor and director. He is known for his roles in television as Eric Brady in Days of our Lives, which earned him several Daytime Emmy Award nominations, as well as Alec/X5-494 in Dark Angel and Jason Teague in Smallville. Ackles currently stars as Dean Winchester on the CW series Supernatural. I don't Know what kind of hate im gonna get for this choice, but i think that Jensen Ackles would play a great Matt Murdock!
Moon Knight/Joel Edgerton (The Warrior, The Great Gatsby)
MOON KNIGHT:Moon Knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, Jake Lockley: different aspects of the same man, who was resurrected by Khonshu, the Egyptian Lunar-God of Vengeance and Justice, to serve as his "avatar", and perform various acts of vengeance and justice on unjust mortals.
JOEL EDGERTON:Joel Edgerton (born 23 June 1974) is an Australian film and television actor. He is known for his roles in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Animal Kingdom, The Thing, Warrior and as Tom Buchanan in the upcoming film adaptation of The Great Gatsby. I got this idea from BATTLIN MURDOCK. I personally think this choice is very good! I just got warrior from the library so i could see Tom Hardy and Joel act more than i already have. After watching that i think Joel would make an awesome Moon Knight.
Punisher/Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises,The Warrior,)
PUNISHER: After his family was killed in the crossfire of a mob shootout, ex-US Marine and war veteran Frank Castle began a one man war on organised crime. Relying on his combat experience, he became the vigilante force of nature known as The Punisher!
TOM HARDY: Edward Thomas "Tom" Hardy (born 15 September 1977) is an English actor. Some of his most notable film roles include Star Trek: Nemesis, RocknRolla, Bronson, Warrior, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, This Means War, and Inception the critically acclaimed Film for which he won the BAFTA Rising Star Award. His television roles include the BBC mini-series The Virgin Queen, ITV's Wuthering Heights, in which he played Heathcliff, Stuart: A Life Backwards, for which he garnered a nomination for the BAFTA for Best Actor, and Martina Cole's The Take. His most recent film role was as the arch-villain Bane in Christopher Nolan's 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises. He will play the role of Forrest Bondurant in John Hillcoat's upcoming crime thriller Lawless. I think that Hardy would make an EXCELLENT Punisher. I saw this on a fancast by "TheLizard1" and i thought it was a GREAT choice. I feel that Tom Hardy could bring the depth to the character that's really needed. Tell me this doesn't look AWESOME!
The concept and arms of this picture came from "StockersBlahBlah"
Luke Cage/Michael Jai White (Blood and Bone, Spawn)
LUKE CAGE:Luke Cage, wrongly convicted and unjustly imprisoned, was altered in a failed prison experiment that granted him bulletproof skin and super-human strength. With his street smarts and unending determination to do right, he fights for the common man!
MICHAEL JAI WHITE:Michael Jai White (born November 10, 1967) is an American actor and martial artist who has appeared in numerous films and television series. He is the first African American to portray a major comic book superhero in a major motion picture, having starred as Al Simmons, the protagonist in the 1997 film Spawn. White appeared as Marcus Williams in the Tyler Perry films Why Did I Get Married? and Why Did I Get Married Too?, and currently stars as the character on the TBS comedy-drama television series Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse. White also portrayed Jax Briggs in Mortal Kombat: Legacy. I think that MJW would make a GREAT Luke Cage. Can't you see Luke Cage doing this to Barracuda?
Iron Fist/Ryan Gosling (Drive, Gangster Squad)
IRON FIST:The latest in a long line of warriors who wielded against the wicked, a master of K'un L'un, Danny Rand is the Immortal Iron Fist. He channels his anger and energy into his fist, creating a mystical glow.
Ryan Gosling:Ryan Thomas Gosling (born November 12, 1980) is a Canadian actor and musician. He began his career as a child star on the Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club (1993–95) and went on to appear in other family entertainment programs. Gosling came to the attention of a wider audience in 2004 with a leading role in the romantic drama The Notebook, for which he won four Teen Choice Awards and an MTV Movie Award. His performance as a drug-addicted teacher in Half Nelson (2006) was nominated for an Academy Award and his performance as a socially inept loner in Lars and the Real Girl (2007) was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. In 2007, he starred in the courtroom thriller Fracture. After a three-year acting hiatus, Gosling starred in both Blue Valentine and All Good Things in 2010. The former performance as a frazzled husband earned him a second Golden Globe nomination. 2011 proved to be a landmark year for the actor as he appeared in three mainstream films – the romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love, the thriller Drive and the political drama The Ides of March – and received two Golden Globe nominations. He will appear in a number of upcoming films: the generational drama The Place Beyond the Pines, the period crime feature Gangster Squad and the revenge drama Only God Forgives. I think that Gosling would make a Great Danny Rand. Alot of people think that he is overused. So what? If he's overused that means he's good!
Black Widow/Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada, The Adjustment Bureau)
Black Widow: Former KGB agent Natasha Romanova, known as Black Widow, is one of the greatest spies ever to live and is one of the best agents S.H.I.E.L.D. has ever had. She's a longtime member of the Avengers and was a founding member of the short-lived Los Angeles-based superteam: The Champions.
Emily Blunt: Emily Olivia Leah Blunt (born 23 February 1983) is an English actress best known for her roles in The Devil Wears Prada (2006), The Young Victoria (2009), and The Adjustment Bureau (2011). She has been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards, two London Film Critics' Circle Awards, and one BAFTA Award. She won a Golden Globe Award for her work in the BBC television drama Gideon's Daughter (2007). I think she would make a great Black Widow. I'd love to see her in that out fit. Just Kidding :)...( No i'm not)
Black Panther/Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter)
Black Panther:T'Challa is the Black Panther, the super genius warrior king of the African nation of Wakanda, the most technologically advanced nation on Earth. He is one of the smartest men in the Marvel Universe, a former Avenger, and Storm's x-husband. Black Panther was the first mainstream black Marvel superhero.
Anthony Mackie: Anthony Mackie (born September 23, 1978) is an American actor. He has been featured in feature films, television series, and Broadway and Off-Broadway plays, including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Drowning Crow, McReele, A Soldier's Play, and Carl Hancock Rux's Talk, for which he won an Obie Award in 2002. In 2002, he was featured in Eminem's debut film, 8 Mile, playing Papa Doc, a member of Leaders of the Free World. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards for his role in The Hurt Locker. This was Mackie's second ISA nomination, the first coming for his work in 2003 in Brother to Brother, where he was nominated for Best Actor. Anthony Mackie is a fan favorite and has been casted as this character many times, but i think he would do an excellent job as T'Challa.
