If you were a superhero, what would you do?

If you were a superhero, what would you do?

Deep down, we all wish we were the guardians of our world, or maybe the universe. I made this simply for your views and opinions.

It is true...deep down we the people wish we were superheroes. If not superheroes, vigilantes.

Comic books were created for a reason....to expand our imaginations and give us a new way of wishful thinking. However some seem to take it so seriously that they even go out and attempt to fight crime and fail because they don't know the true message behind being a superhero. If you're like me and really aren't a comic book geek, but instead a CBM geek, your imagination tends to run wild with expectations and visuals of what your life would be like if you were a superhero.

As we know, superheroes teach us a huge lesson: responsibility should come first in life. To be a spouse you must learn to have boundaries with your significant other and learn to take care of one another. To be a parent you have to be there for your child, be the number one person that they would turn to in their time of need. But you also must pass the torch of responsibility down to them so it can be carried on through generation through generation.

So for you, what would it be?

Would you wanna be a Vigilante?

...or would you decline the chance to be a superhero merely because you feel that it doesn't take someone to be powerful to have great responsibility, but in fact someone that has great will in order to do so?

In the end of the day, we salute both DC and Marvel comics for one purpose-helping us realize the true meaning of responsibility, and maybe the time where CBMs may take a long break like the western genre did is approaching fast but we will never forget the true message behind it all.

I'm not a huge Comic Book Geek, but the super hero movie genre has always excited me, and always will. I do not enjoy when people argue over CBMs like they're a religion, but i guess thats how most movie geeks are.

oh and if i had to really pic a side,
i mean really really really had to, then
DC, baby :)

but i really don't care about which is best. they both make me happy

Franklin Richards

Franklin is a mutant who possesses the power to warp reality on a cosmic scale, i.e., to make any thought or desire come to fruition; conjunctively, he can rearrange the molecular structure of matter. In the Heroes Reborn: The Return limited series, Franklin is described as a "being whom the Celestials felt was on par with themselves."[8] In addition to reality and molecular manipulation, Franklin has vast psionic powers that have manifested as telepathy, telekinesis, energy blasts of concussive force (in adulthood), precognition, and astral projection.

In terms of unrealized potential, Franklin was generally considered for years to be the most powerful earth-bound mutant in the Marvel Universe.

I would have electricity powers because there are so many possibilities with that power. You can moves at light speeds and have magnetism etc. I would be an anti hero not a superhero because I don't think I would have the ability to keep murderers and rapists alive.

@ Hush

yeah, the only problem with Franklin Richards is that he can't control his power like most mutants. So that wouldnt be that great, pal.

I made a character name Big K who is based on this second personality I usually tend to have.

His powers is the control the atoms of the universe, meaning that he can change the structures of anything that is around him, create powerful projectiles out of nowhere, and gather enough energy to allow him to travel at light speed.

Unlike me, he is pretty much mentally insane (mostly wanting to be a poor man's version of Deadpool) and tends to use his powers only for personal satisfaction (which to me is kicking random villains asses, making cliche one-liners and botching funny jokes, and not taking much responsibilities for my own mistakes).

Though, I have been writing stories about Big K on my DeviantArt profile (not alot really, but I have alot to write for the character).

I would be a teleporter like Nightclawer. My character would be named Ronin. He would also carry a katana (samuri sword) and a gun.

Green Lantern has always been the character with the most fascinating powers. It has always intrigued me. The concept of will. When you are tested to the absolute limit, all you have left is your focus, your will. The ability to create anything would be my choice. Green Lanterns Light!

I would be a vigilante type, no powers

But I would train myself in martial arts and in kung fu, and then dress up in an all-black costume with a logo of a raven on the front, and my mask would be shaped like a raven, and my superhero name would be The Black Raven and my weapon of choice would be a billy club

I would be similar to Daredevil, but more darker, and prey on the evil in this world, make sure they feel the pain of the innocent

In the end, the thing I would want the most is immortality. What's the point of teleporting or flying or creating pretty damn fantastic objects if you can't use them forever.

The fun thing about immortality, you'd witness the changes of humanity. Probably need my partner to be immortal as well.

Immortality.... Would be awesome!

@Jefferys

Yeah but your loved ones wouldnt be immortal, and you would have to go through a life filled with emotional pain cuz you would have to see em die. That's why immortality would suck
Jefferys
Jefferys - 7/8/2011, 3:11 AM
@Justsomeawesomeguy - After a, maybe thousand years, you'd get over that pain. I mean if I had Immortality and impregnated a woman wouldn't my child have my powers? Or is that just wishful thinking?
