THE IRON LEGION story took place in IRON-MAN VOLUME 1 #299 & 300,
DECEMBER, 1993.
TONY STARK is in a coma and fighting for his life and being treated by
DR. ERICA SONDHEIM. TONY'S permanent assistant, MRS.
ARBOGAST calls RHODEY RHODES (WAR MACHINE) about the threat
of the giant alien robot, ULTIMO, who's on a rampage, destroying
everything in his path. RHODEY says he will help and asks MRS.
ARBOGASAT to round up a group of heroes who've donned the armor
before, MICHAEL O'BRIEN (GUARDSMAN), CARL WALKER
(FORCE), BETHANY CABE (WAR MACHINE 2.0), HAPPY HOGAN and
EDDIE MARCH (IRON-MAN'S one time replacement in the IRON-MAN
armor).
RHODEY as WAR MACHINE gathers the group who don various MARK
armor that TONY has stored in his work shop. They gather to battle the
gigantic ULTIMO as the designated group, “IRON LEGION”. TONY
recovers in time to come save them all.
In my idea here, the group I have gathering is RODEY RHODES as WAR
MACHINE, PEPPER POTTS as IRON WOMAN, CARL WALKER as FORCE (wearing
the black stealth armor), BETHANY CABE as WAR MACHINE 2.0 (who I've
tagged with the title, TWO-O), MICHAEL O'BRIEN as GUARDSMAN in the
"SILVER CENTURION armor and HAPPY HOGAN in the MARK III armor, who
they just call, “HAP”. BETHANY CABE wears a black & red version of
the WAR MACHINE 2.0 armor.
So there you have it and here goes.....
MY IRON LEGION FANCAST:
When I did my HEROIC AGE AVENGERS fancast people said they
wanted to see a younger actor, than my choice for TONY STARK, JOSH
BROLIN, in the role so I picked KARL URBAN to play TONY here in
THIS fancast, I think he has all the qualities to play IRON-MAN/TONY
STARK. He's one hell of an actor, his portrayal of BONES McCOY in
STAR TREK was phenomenal!

Morris Chestnut is one of the best unsung actors in the biz, he is great as
the V-ALIEN who fights with the humans against the “V”-Queen, played by MORENA BACCARIN on the new 'V” TV series on ABC.
WAR MACHINE (JAMES “RHODEY” RHODES): MORRIS CHESTNUT
Here's a REAL freckle-faced redheaded actress, my choice to play PEPPER
POTTS/IRON WOMAN. She looks exactly like her.
IRON WOMAN (VIRGINIA “PEPPER” POTTS): ALICIA WIT
PEPPER POTTS: ALICIA WIT
COLIN FERGUSON is great in EUREKA on SYFY as SHERIFF CARTER.
GUARDSMAN (MICHAEL O'BRIEN): COLIN FERGUSON
KATE played an FBI agent in IRON-MAN 2 that pretty well mirrored
the character of BETHANY CABE. So I thought I would just go ahead
and put her here for BETHANY CABE.
TWO-O [WAR MACHINE 2.0] (BETHANY CABE): KATE MARA
JASON O'MARA is from DUBLIN, IRELAND but he does such a good
American accent that I thought he was an AMERICAN actor for the
longest time!
FORCE (CARL WALKER): JASON O'MARA
CHRIS was excellent on USA channel's “STEPHEN KING'S DEADZONE”
as the town SHERRIF where JOHNNY resides and is married to
JOHNNY'S ex. He just looks like a boxer and similar to HAP.
HAP (HAPPY HOGAN): CHRIS BRUNO
HAPPY HOGUN: CHRIS BRUNO
SUPPORTING CHARACTERS:
She's the doc working on TONY here in this story, she works on “special”
cases like TONY. LOUISE was excellent on CSI and has played a doctor
before.
DR. ERICA SONDHEIM: LOUISE LOMBARD
TONY STARK'S personal assistant.
MRS. ARBOGAST (BAMBI ARBOGAST): KATHLEEN QUINLAN
