I agree with ecksmanfan. Tatum is seriously lacking in the acting department. His "performance" in GI Joke was one of the worst I've seen this year, hell, it might be THE worst!

Gigandet is too pretty boyish to be Bucky. He also looks too old, and I don't see him as having the Bucky personality at all.

And Lee, if everyone here stuck to their guts, you'd still be campaigning for Lewis as Cap. Hypocritical of you to tell someone else to stick to their guts...

@ Leee777 thanks. I will stick with my gut. I can't stand the idea of Lewis or Ackles, but we are all intitled to our opinions. As far as G I Joe goes It's more of the script than Tatums fault the movie was bad. Everyone was all upset at first that Marlon Wayans was cast now because I choses him to be Cap they think it's foolish. Too be honest Wayans didn't do so bad in the movie. The biggest upset was Cobra Commander and we all know it. Ok the thing with Bucky is trying to sell a 16 year old in the army. It's a period piece yea,,but it still needs to updated.

Sorry man, ask anyone on here, I am usually pretty nice and fair, but. but this is the second worse choices I've heard for Cap and Bucky, right after Jason Lewis and the Twilight kid.

I know , we are all entitled to our opinions, but I honestly can't see this. Tatum has ZERO acting ability, the closest thing to Captain America he could play would be DC's Captain Atom, and that is pushing it.

I don't mind Cam so much, I could see him as Winter Soldier in a sequel, but he is too old to play a WWII Bucky. Oh but he is perfect for Jean Paul Valley aka Azrael from Batman.

But hey, I will give you points for originality.

@LEEE. When did Worthington become an A-Lister/ he has had ONE mainstream film, and that is it. We don't know how Avatar and Clash will turn out. Besides, I'd like to keep Captain America AMERICAN.

Leee@, in honest defense of Josh@ here, at least Brett Harrison looks very young for his age! Gigandet looks extremely old for Bucky! Bucky is a very young teen boy not an ancient guy. Gigandet looks old enough to play Cap America for crying out loud!

Leee, Ackles won the Cap America poll fair and square! Don't you ever admit defeat when you have obviously been defeated. A lot of very smart people on here think Worthington is the worst one to play Cap while Jensen won the poll. It's plain as the nose on my face that Worthington does not look anything in anybody's wildest dream like Steve Rogers.

All the work I've seen Worthington in is a stupid Doctor nighttime soap on TV, an absolutely failed performance in a failed movie, Terminator: Salvation and a stupid cartoonish of a movie in Avatar! Now that's a lot of crap acting to call him an A-lister!

Woooooowwwwww...You guys sure don't like Tatum, or Leee right now for that matter. Hey I understand what you guys feel his acting may be new. However I really think that people are missing some key points.
1. When it comes to hiring someone for Captain America today it's going to take someone we can get to inspire everyone even the new recruits. Don't forget Captain America today is still huge propagnda symbol just like he was in WWII. The studios def need someone of a younger, and fresher face that not just middle class white kids "Supernatural watchers", but all races in the audience can get behind. It's not just about the movie. The military still wants pwoplw to enlist. Out of Ackles Lewis and Hamm. Yea Maybe Ackles, but I needed someone most people wouldn't think of, and plus Ackles is my pick for Hawkeye.
2. Has anyone seen a picture of Duke from G I JOE. Duke and Steve could be brothers if not twins. So that bull he doesn't look like Cap is not true. OH yea BTW. Tatum had already been asked if he would play Cap. Instead of saying yes he mentioned Will Smith.

As for Bucky. Well hey i tried

Sorry man, but I would have to see Tatum give an actual decent performance, which he honestly has yet to give. He may look the part, but that don't mean shit, his face will be covered half the time, his acting ability would have to sell the film, and he doesn't have it. Who knows, maybe he will give a good performance eventually, and then I may reconsider.

Tell you what, I am a Cap and Avengers fan and I wrote an Avengers story, featuring Cap. take a look at it and tell me that Jensen Ackels wouldn't be perfect for Cap.
