NOTE: This is not one of those animated series that your son or little brother would watch on Saturday mornings, this series would be one of those hardcore bloody animated series. It would play on AMC, due to the great job they did with The Walking Dead.
The Punisher
Voiced by Ron Perlman

Set in the present day, the Punisher, a veteran of the Vietnam War whose family was slain at a picnic when they were caught in a gunfight between two warring crime families in 1976, has been at a one-man-war on organized crime for over 30 years, and is showing no signs of letting up. Through the use of murder, torture, and many other methods of extreme violence, Frank continues this war as a new age brings an assortment of new enemies, such as the both physically and mentally scarred Jigsaw, the ruthless giant called The Russian, the sadistic and insane Nicky Cavella, as well as an assortment of other characters.

Jigsaw
Voiced by Mark Hamill

Once the young and eager Italian mafioso Billy "The Beaut" Russo, the Punisher initially makes easy work of him and throws him into a glass crusher. However, Russo returns complete with a hideously scarred face, and dubs himself Jigsaw, as the futile attempts to restore his beauty left his face resembling a jigsaw puzzle. Harboring an unquenchable hatred for Frank Castle, Jigsaw also feels an immense grudge against the Italian mafia, who didn't consider his death that big of a deal. Assembling his own gang, dubbed the "Jigsaw Mafia", Jigsaw frequently engages in fierce battles with the Punisher, the police, and other crime families. Jigsaw is the arch-nemesis of Frank Castle

Ma Gnucci
Voiced by Glenn Close

A female mafioso whom, after the Punisher brutally executes her son, is so depressed that she climbs into grizzly bear's cage at the local zoo then shoots it's young, prompting it to attack. Although she is left without her arms or legs, Gnucci survives the brutal attack and is reborn with a yearning to kill the Punisher. Due to her disability, she is forced to rely completely on her nephew, the vicious hitman Bushwhacker. She is obsessed with killing the Punisher and anyone that gets in her way. She is a fierce enemy of Jigsaw as well.

The Russian
Voiced by Michael Clarke Duncan

Once a hitman for the Russian Mafia, the man, called by his employers The Russian, was exiled when he failed to kill Frank Castle years ago (see “Welcome Back Frank”). A large anti-American brute, The Russian believes that killing Frank Castle will allow him to be welcomed back into the Russian Mafia. The Russian, in America, has had some success, however. In the Bronx he has managed to gain a small following that helps him in his schemes to kill the Punisher.

Nicky Cavella
Voiced by Jack Nicholson

Years ago, The Punisher enacted a massacre at a Don’s birthday party. The massacre was so severe that a Mafioso had to call Nicky Cavella, whom had been banished by his fellow Italians, to come back to New York so that he could deal with the Punisher. Cavella failed, and soon afterwards Castle caught up to him, shot him and left him to die in a forest. However, Cavella survived and has since become a very highly ranked Mafioso who is notorious for being calm one minute, then lashing out quite violently the next. Cavella is an arch-nemesis of both The Punisher and Jigsaw.

Tony “Two-Finger” Zerrelli
Voiced by John Dimaggio

A brand new character, Tony “Too-Tough” Zerrelli was once an arrogant Italian hitman who boasted that he would one day kill the Punisher. However, when the two met, Tony realized how wrong he was. On his right hand he lost all but two fingers, his index and his middle finger, during the fight. He managed to survive, but upon returning to his fellow mafiosos, Tony was heavily ridiculed by his peers, who dubbed him “Two Finger Tony”. Zerrelli attempted to redeem himself by engaging them in a firefight, but was beaten, thrown in a trashcan that then said “Here lies Two-Finger Tony” and was left to die. He was found by Jigsaw, who was also out for revenge against the Italians, and together the two formed the Jigsaw Mafia. Tony acts as Jigsaw’s protégé and right hand man. Despite his defeat at the hands of The Punisher, Zerrelli is still quite arrogant towards others, excluding Jigsaw, whom he respects very much. Tony stands at about 6’5’, has lightly tanned skin, and is bald. He wears a white suit with a yellow shirt and a white tie.

Bushwhacker
Voiced by Nolan North (in the voice he did for Raphael in TMNT)

Bushwhacker is Ma Gnucci’s nephew and does virtually everything for her due to her not having any limbs. He obeys her every command but secretly despises her and plans to kill her in the near future. Bushwhacker voices a great respect for the Punisher’s abilities with comments such as “Damn, he’s good,” and looks forward to their conflicts, as he desires to test his marksmanship and hand to hand combat skills against Castle’s own. He has a hatred for Tony Two-Finger Zerrelli just as Gnucci has one for Jigsaw.

Micro
Voiced by Wayne Knight

One of the Punisher’s only allies, Micro was once a simple computer hacker until his nephew, seeking to follow in his uncle’s footsteps, hacked into a mobster’s computer. His nephew was executed by the mafia. Since then, Micro helps the Punisher in his war on crime by hacking computers, customizing guns and ammunition, and helping him in planning and executing jobs through a wireless headset. Micro is also one of the Punisher’s best friends, his only friend in fact.

So what do you guys think? Think it would work? Please, by all means leave comments below. And be honest! I'm not afraid of criticism.

i'm sorry LEEE but i still think ray was better. i loved Tom Jane's intensity, but he could not shut up! " good business, murder? does saint pay ya for each one, or does he give a group rate discount?" no! he woulda just popped em in the head!
Ray kicked more ass in the first scene of war zone than jane did in the whole movie! jane was great, especially after dolph's god awful portrayal, but ray was better. but a series with tom jane, i wouldnt mind at all.
how do you think ron perlman would do?

@punishermax12 im with u all the way ray stevenson is the best punisher live-action...dont get me wrong i loved tom jane's version as well but ray tops him on so many levels as the punisher its not even funny and i think they should make a live-action AMC or showtime show with ray or tom cuz AMC and showtime seem to be the only channels that can make good gory and bloody shows now adays

Not too bad of a cast, of course I like anything
Punisher! I even half-way liked Punisher: Warzone!

But Tom would be the bomb in a hard (R) live-action
TV series! That's fer sure!

If they put Jane in Warzone and cut out the camp
and had Jane acting quiet and stoic then ya'd have
somethin' there, ya would!!!

Ray was just too damm wooden-faced! No personality
whatsoever!
