There are A LOT of things that Smallville should do to make us satisfied. We talked for like a half hour, then summed it down to ten minutes as best we could.
1. Lex, the arch nemesis, needs to come back and have a conflict. It might be the last episode, but it needs to happen. Everyone knows he wasn't killed by a toy teddy bear. Why even bother trying to trick us?
2. Clark needs to have all his guns in his arsenal, meaning that he needs to fly, but also have arctic breath. He's done super breath, but nobody has been frozen by the boy of steel.
3. There needs to be a fight scene on Smallville that's at least five minutes long. It's a lot to ask from Smallville, but they owe us that. They might have to cut down their budget to make it happen. I don't care if the spend an entire episode at the Kent farm. They need to give us an epic fight scene.
4. Lana should have never had super powers. Frankly, she should have never come back in season seven. But since they screwed her up, she should come back to Smallville, want Clark, and he should make it clear that he's with Lois and is better for it. Why? Because that's the way it is in the comic books. Lois and Clark have had a great chemistry build up to get to the point that they're finally at, but Clana fans need to be put out of their misery and understand that Lois is Clark's true love and he's not with Lois just because he can't be with nasty kryptonite Lana.
5. Chloe needs to evolve into her own person. Season seven, she blamed her Davis psycho relationship on protecting Clark. Well, her Clark universe needs to expand and she needs something more to her life. It's cool that she's helping people, but it's still Clark's world. She had goals and dreams, but that apparently didn't matter when Lois came on the show and got everything Chloe ever wanted. She needs to be her own person and find a different passion that completes her, or we demand her death.
6. Clark needs to put in the costume. It can be at the very end, the last shot of the show. If the journey of Superman is over, then we need to see what we invested our precious time in all these years. Also, call him Superman. "The Blur" has already gotten old. We don't want it to be overly annoying.
7. Bruce Wayne and Wonder Woman would make great renditions to the show. There are rules not to touch them, but we all know that Green Arrow is a Batman substitute. Though Oliver works for the show, Bruce Wayne would get Smallville a lot of ratings and appease the fans that have uttered such rumors for years. Smallville happened when a Bruce Wayne story couldn't get off the ground. Why not stick him on Smallville? And I know the fanboys want to see Wonder Woman. I'm interested to see what they would do with her relationship with Lois.
8. Finish Smallville with a solid villain who is a real challenge for Clark that he has to evolve to defeat, and not devolve the villain so Clark can manage. Doomsday was interestingly thought out at first, but had a poor climax and a poor fight for the creature that killed Superman in the comic books. Zod has been a foe lingering for a while and I'm glad they revisited him in a way that makes sense and is a story that would actually be in a comic books. Continue on this path, and make it bigger.
9. Perry needs to come to the Daily Planet. Clark, Lois, and fake Jimmy worked there. Chloe worked there! Restore him to his rightful place.
10. Out of all the things thus far explored, these are probably the least likely. Buy what the hey? We need an explanation of some of the characters that have gone who were an important part of the show. Nobody talks about Martha. Fans want to know more about what happened to Kara. I personally don't care that much, because she should have never been on the show to begin with. We want to see Lois's family again. I think "The General" coming back on the show to criticize Clark for being a "mild mannered reporter" would be terrific. What ever happened to the other Luthor son, Lucas? He's alive. I'd like to see him reappear for at least an episode. We also need some Justice League epicness. We don't need to see Oliver and his team doing mild work and Clark rejoining them so they can strut away from an exploding building. We need to see real team work needed for a worthy adversary.
If by some miracle this list is completed, I think Smallville can die happy.
