I've always wanted to write a book. With some good advice and inspiration, I'm finally ready to start. This is not going to be a superhero story though, it's a science fiction. I know, this is a superhero site, but this is the one place where I feel comfortable sharing my story. Hopefully you will enjoy it.
Here we go....
Premise:
Perception is a story about aliens called Verans who came to earth in 2008 for the sole purpose of furthering the knowledge of the universe and to exchange cultures to learn from the humans. 5 years go by. It's 2013 and there is a peaceful unity between the humans and the Verans. Because of the Verans, technology has advanced 10x fold. But the world isn't in a "Technological Utopia," The world looks exactly as it does today, however, some changes have made our way of living much easier, thanks to the Verans. Communication between the humans and Verans are excellent and it didn't take long for each species to understand each other. The Verans have a very unique language that allows just about anyone, even a human child to understand.
All of this does not mean that everything is "sweet and sour", humans and Verans, alike, are still nervous living around each other. The Veran's stature and looks are quite frightening, yet they are very peaceful and only want harmony among the humans. Unfortunately, many Verans become so engrossed in human culture, it has affected many Verans in a way that they try to fit in with the rest of the world. When it comes to fitting in with the wrong people the consequences can prove fatal. For BOTH races.
