This belongs in the features section. and I thought the battle between Green Lantern (Hal) and Sinestro, in Emerald Twilight, was pretty brutal with Hal breaking Sinestro's neck and all.

I just started reading comics and I think the most brutal scene I've ever read is the prison break in Nemesis.

Spiderman vs Morlun in the other. He got absolutely demolished. More brutal imo when the character isn't far removed form being human.
