Wrestling has always been known for it's over the top antics, insane classic moments, and crazy characters that men, women, and children of all ages have learned to enjoy through great entertainment and showmanship. Even when attending a live wrestling show, they, or any wrestling promotion, always strive to give you, as fans, your money's worth in classic entertainment value.
These days I still support both WWE and TNA wrestling alike, I take no side over the other in debates and disputes. I even loved and supported WCW, the original ECW, and the indy companies as well. I even have had my own indy company planned with my brother in motion over the years, but it takes a lot of invested time and money, I can honestly speak for that myself, but I still hope to take it off the ground sooner then later. This is how much I love it, it has more similarities then most think when it comes to comic book comparisons, and wrestlers by the dozen even have comics of their own, including my childhood wrestling idol, Mick Foley. However, my favorite stories were that of the Undertaker comics from about a decade or less ago. The dark stories of him teaming and battling with Kane and Paul Bearer at the gates of Stygian, which if I remember, was Hell's prison? And the comics-only third brother, The Embalmer. I just recently found Issue #1 Halloween Special in the same case where I found my Captain Glory #1 Kirby Chrome with the card in the bag. It's amazing what you'll find going through storage, especially finding the rest of my wrestling comics and collector's figures!
Anyways, back to focus now that I'm done getting into what got me here in the first place. You see, what I was getting at was the fact that not too long ago when the studios we're beginning to assemble the cast to assemble the avengers, (ha ha ha, yeah, I shamefully just planned that one in my mind!) they had a few wrestling stars rumored to play roles such as Cap and the ol' God of Asgard himself, Thor! To be honest, since those thoughts, I believe John Cena and Triple H could have done exceptionally well in those respective roles, so I made both the posters above, with Randy Orton as Iron Man (I dub him 'OrtonMan'), as well as the Big Show as Hulk (for obvious reasons, lol!). For the second poster (Avengers 2: Avengers Revenge), I made look like a sequel, and besides I swapped Big Show for Batista (prior to his recent leaving the biz for MMA) as a Skrull Leader.
So, With that said, hope you like the posters, and please share your "Wrestler Counterparts" and FanFics for Which Wrestlers Would Best Play Comic Opposites?
