A new X-Men fan fiction I've started, kicking off my Marvel Universe!

Okay, so I'm starting an X-Men fan fiction. Little obvious. The characters will be wearing their original costumes. As in the ones from the very first comic. Now enjoy, if you will, the X-Men!
-----------------------------

INT: X-MANSION
We see a large room, with delicate antiques, and red, silk carpeting. Two young men sit in the room. They hold glasses of wine. A table with a chessboard separates them. CHARLES XAVIER and ERIK LENSHERR.

Erik: “Charles, you know mutantkind will not be a secret forever. The humans will fear us.”

Charles (smirking): “Don’t say you aren’t human, Erik. Now, I do realize this, but you can’t say instantly that they will fear us.”

Erik: “I used to be human Charles. They changed me. They put us in camps, herded us like lambs. Yes, lambs. To the slaughter. My family died from humanity.”

Charles: “Humans and Nazis are entirely different Erik. Your family may be gone, but you survive. Erik, I know what you wish to do, but it will not help. It will make things worse. Not just for humans, but for you.”

Erik (slightly annoyed): “Do not speak of what I can and cannot do.”

Charles: “I’m not saying you cannot. I’m saying you should not.”

Erik (noticeably annoyed): “So my moral compass is wrong?”

Charles (calm, yet stern): “You know what I mean.”

Erik: (angered) “STOP! (standing up) I’m leaving tomorrow. I’ve already discovered more of our kind. Charles, if you are smart, you will join the Brotherhood.”

Charles (saddened): “No Erik. I cannot agree with you.”

Erik: “Then we are done here.”

DECADES LATER

INT: DANGER ROOM

“Hank, watch out!”

A red beam destroys a turret. The wall is pure white, with turrets and small breaks in the color on it. We see multiple turrets blow apart on their own. A giant foot crashes into another. Wings zoom past the screen as turrets on the ground are frozen, and shattered by another red beam. A shot pierces a wing, causing the teenager attached to it to fall. As the boy crashes to the ground, the breaks in the walls lift up, revealing double as many turrets as there were. The boy, ANGEL, picks himself up, and joins his fellow students, CYCLOPS, JEAN GREY, BEAST, and ICEMAN. Beast, with huge hands and feet, sports a grin. He looks at Cyclops, who gives a wink, though it is unseen from behind his gazer. Iceman, who looks like an animate ice sculpture of a teenage boy, gives a laugh.

Iceman: “This’ll be too easy.”

Cyclops: “Don’t get cocky Bobby.”

Beast: “Lighten up Scott. Jean loves guys who show even a little emotion.”

Scott glares at Beast, who doesn’t see the fury, and embarrassment, in his eyes.

Cyclops: “Let’s just get this over with.”

Jean destroys multiple turrets using her telekinetic powers, defending Angel, who is practically useless without his wings. Scott blows up turret after turret, nearly hitting Beast in the process.

Beast: “I didn’t mean for you to take it personally!”

He continues jumping on turrets, destroying them in the process. Iceman blasts more turrets, and rolls out of the line of fire. Cyclops blasts a turret, letting Bobby return to the fight. Jean stops bullets where they are, and sends them back to the turret that sen them. Beast slams into the last turret, sending sparks flying. A voice comes over the PA system. An older CHARLES XAVIER.

Xavier: “Good work. I think that will be enough Danger Room training for today. Return to your rooms, I must discuss something with each of you.”

CUT TO:
INT: DANGER ROOM CONTROL
Xavier looks solemn in his wheelchair.

Xavier (softly): “They aren’t ready.”

CUT TO:
INT: DORMS
Jean looks at Angel’s pierced wing. She holds a needle, thread and tweezers.

Jean: “Okay Warren, this is going to hurt, so I’m just going to-”

Warren: “OW! Why didn’t you tell me you were going to pull it out?”

Jean (smirking): “You would have been scared.”

Scott rushes in, wearing shades with a red tainting.

Scott: “Jean, can you deal with Bobby? He stole-”

Jean: “Little busy Scott.”

Hank: “Don’t worry man, I’m sure Jean’ll have time for you later, if you know what I-”

Scott (emphasizing ‘up’): “Shut up!”

Warren: “Not to barge in or anything, but Scott, quit overreacting, and Hank, stop being a jerk.”

Jean: “I must agree. Scott, can you get the scissors?”

Scott: “On it.”

He grabs the scissors, and hands them to Jean. She takes them, and cuts the string, closing Angel’s wound. He gets up, and stretches.

Jean: “It’ll take awhile, but you’ll be flying again in no time.”

Warren: “Good. What do you think the Professor wants?”

Hank: “Can’t be good.”

At this time, Iceman enters, looking normal. You can see his breath, even though it is the summer. He tosses Scott a phone.

Scott: “Thanks.”

Bobby: “Don’t mention it. The Professor was going easy on us today. Whenever he does that, we charge into overtime.”

Jean: “That may be true, but we train as much as we can. Mr. Xavier can’t just ignore our other studies.”

Bobby: “Jeanie, you know about Magneto right? The Brotherhood? Charles is just worried that he’ll come.”

Warren: “If that had even a sliver of truth, then the Professor would know that Magneto was coming. He’’d tell us too.”

Hank: “Actually, he never told us about Magneto. Bobby just overheard him talking about it to... what was his name?”

Bobby: “Logan.”

Hank: “Yeah, Logan. That was... two years ago?”

Warren (clearly annoyed): “We all know the story. Some tough guy strolls in here, Xavier welcomes him as an old friend, and they talk about Magneto. You’ve told us a thousand times.”

Scott: “Maybe we should listen to him. Magneto could be a part of this. And you can’t deny that the Professor went easy on us.”

Bobby: “I don’t mean to change the subject, but that spandex gives me cramps. Is that the same for you guys?”

Jean: “Let’s go back to the subject. I don’t think the Professor would even let us fight Magneto. If he’s strong enough to fight the Professor-”

Bobby: “An old guy in a wheelchair? Yeah, real tough.”

Scott: “Don’t talk about Xavier like that. You haven’t even sen him show off his powers to you. He showed it to the rest of us. He only took you in because you were chased away like Frankenstein ran from angry villagers!”

Bobby: “You think you’re tough, don’t you? You think just because you’ve been here the longest, you’re better than all of us! You wouldn’t last two seconds against me!”

Jean: “Both of you, shut up!!! How did we even get to this point? If we were actually fighting Magneto, we would be dead before we knew what was happening! We can’t even get along!”

Xavier: “You’re right Jean.”

The students are stunned. They hadn’t even noticed the Professor, who looked not sad, but disappointed.

Xavier: “I was wrong. I thought that with just a little more training. More of it, harder, better, more tactical... but no. I can’t. It’s displeasing, but you cannot face Erik. Yes, he is coming back.”

Scott: “How do you...?”

Xavier: “Cerebro. He took his helmet off a second. He’s here. New York.”

Scott: “Look, Professor, just because we got into this argument, it doesn’t mean we can’t fight-”

Xavier: “I didn’t make the decision today.”

The students stare at the Professor as he wheels himself away.

CUT TO:
EXT: X-MANSION
Scott looks up at the sky. He stands alone on a hill.

He rips off his glasses, unleashing a beam of pure red up at the sky. Hank approaches him, pulling Scott down. He slams onto the ground, and rolls down the hill, collecting dirt. He has his eyes closed; the beams have stopped. Hank grabs Scott’s shades, and hands them to him. He grabs the glasses, and puts them on. Scot looks up at Hank, who has his hand reached out. Scott grabs it, and Hank pulls him up. Scott brushes off dirt.

Scott: “Thanks. I... I needed that.”

Hank: “No problem. Look, I’m sorry about all those ‘Jean’ comments.”

Scott: “Sorry for taking it so personally.”

Hank: “No problem. You shouldn’t be mad.”

Scott: “Yeah, because being told you suck shouldn’t make you mad.”

Hank: “The Professor didn’t mean it like that. Like you said, Magneto has to be powerful. Maybe... maybe we aren’t ready. Maybe we are, but the Professor cares about us too much. So... we good?”

Scott: “Sure.”

They shake hands, and walk back to the mansion.

CUT TO:
INT: DANGER ROOM
Iceman blasts away at turrets, letting out anger.

He shoots a beam out of his hands, freezing anything that it touches. The PA system comes on.

Jean: “Bobby, that’s enough.”

He continues to freeze the turrets, angrier.

Jean: “Bobby, that’s enough.”

Angrier.

Jean: “I said that’s enough!”

Bobby suddenly stops, trapped in place by Jean.

Bobby (through clenched teeth): “Fine.”
