Theaters may have nothing new to show right now, but we still have plenty to share with you here at ComicBookMovie.com. There's lots to delve into in this latest Marvel news roundup including a good sign that the Fantastic Four reboot is a priority for Marvel Studios and heading our way soon!

We also have some newly revealed Avengers: Endgame concept art, Thor: Love and Thunder casting news, a WandaVision update, and Black Widow plot details.

The latter point is particularly noteworthy, as star David Harbour shares some intel about how the Marvel Studios movie kicks off and the relationship between the core characters (it's clear that he and Natasha Romanoff have a lot of history, and that it dates right back to the 1990s).

5. Warrior Thanos Concept Art

Love showing process! This was an earlier pass on warrior Thanos for avengers endgame and infinity war. At this point I’d gotten pretty far with an earlier version that was almost approved before going back to the drawing board. These images show how I work. I like to block out shapes and kind of “work on the manikin “ I had these sliding pectoral plates on this version that I was pretty proud of. I imagine they would roll over as Thanos would move his shoulders. I did a few sketches before blocking things in, ultimately changing directions to the final warrior version, but this was part of the journey. You can actually see quite a few elements in this design that made it to the final. It’s a very fun way to work, but not a lot of productions give you the opportunity to “find the design“ through modeling. #avengers #thanos #avengersendgame #avengersinfinitywar #avengersassemble #warriorthanos #childrenofthanos #blackorder #iaminevitable #zbrush #conceptart #hardsurface #costume #armor #mcu

Despite being killed off during Avengers: Endgame's opening act, Thanos later returned courtesy of time-travel. Ultimately, he was defeated, but it took Iron Man sacrificing himself to make that happen.

Now, Marvel Studios concept artist Jerad S. Marantz has shared some of his early designs for warrior Thanos. As you can see, it's similar to what ended up in the movie, albeit with a few key differences.

Chances are we won't see more of the Mad Titan in the MCU, but these are a nice throwback!

4. Marvel Studios Casting Thor: Love And Thunder Body Doubles

Some new casting calls have gone out for Thor: Love and Thunder, but not for new characters. Instead, Marvel Studios is looking for stand-ins and photo doubles for Taika Waititi's movie.

As The Direct reports, it sounds like the studio is currently hunting for body doubles for Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). Intriguingly, there's also a casting call for a variety of people who are five feet tall or less; who knows what that means!

Right now, the plan is for Thor: Love and Thunder to start shooting in Australia early next year, and the plan is to utilise the same technology as The Mandalorian to bring this world to life.

3. WandaVision Has Finally Wrapped

In a now deleted Instagram post, one of the crew members working on WandaVision has confirmed that shooting has now wrapped. It appears he was referencing the Disney+ show's reshoots, so Marvel Studios has clearly managed to get this done just in time for that December premiere.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier recently wrapped as well, though that won't hit the streaming service until 2021 (and possibly not until after Black Widow finally arrives in theaters next May).

The fact that we're getting WandaVision this year is definitely a relief, and all we need now is a premiere date!

2. New Black Widow Plot Details Revealed

Marvel's Black Widow: The Official Movie Special Book was recently released, and in it, members of the cast and crew shed some light on what fans can expect from the highly anticipated movie.

Among them is Red Guardian actor David Harbour, and he reveals that the "family" at the centre of Black Widow have a history together.

"[The] connection to him and Black Widow is that they were set up as a spy family in America in the ’90s," he reveals. "So, Rachel Weisz’s character, Melina, was sort of the mom, Alexei was the dad, and Natasha and Yelena were their little kids."

"We see that in the beginning of the movie, and they sort of function as a family," the actor continues, confirming a flashback scene. "So they knew each other from long ago and then they lost touch for almost twenty years. And when we pick up, Alexei’s had this deep knowledge of Natasha in a certain way that no one else had when she was a kid. He took her from the Red Room and also put her back into the Red Room because he believed in this cause."

It's clear that there's going to be a lot of history with this lot for the Black Widow movie to explore.

1. Work On Fantastic Four Appears to Have Begun

There's some exciting news for fans of Marvel's First Family, because it's now been confirmed (via Murphy's Multiverse), that "Solve Everything Productions LLC" is owned by Marvel Studios.

An obvious reference to the Fantastic Four (specifically Jonathan Hickman's comic book run), it's now clear that this movie is finally being developed, even though writers and directors have yet to be attached.

It's speculated, however, that if they do come aboard in the coming months, we could see these heroes make their long overdue return to the big screen  - as part of the MCU this time - in 2023!
