POLL: What Should Fox Do With The FANTASTIC FOUR Franchise?

We've been keeping you updated about Fantastic Four all weekend, whether it's the abysmal reviews, the fact that the reboot flopped at the box office, and even the insane sounding behind the scenes drama between the studio and director. So, where should the franchise go next?

Fantastic Four is officially a critical and commercial failure. With a sequel dated for 2017, 20th Century Fox don't have long to decide where to take the franchise next, and their options are limited at best. Before the reboot bombed, it appeared as if the plan was to have the foursome meet the X-Men at some point in the next few years, but chances are that the studio will no longer want to risk tainting that franchise with this one (even with a new filmmaker at the helm, there's a chance that moviegoers will recoil at the prospect of spending more time with these characters).

If that's not an option, perhaps there's a chance that they'll follow in the footsteps of Sony and make some sort of deal with Marvel. Fox are protective of their Marvel properties however, and Marvel doesn't seem like they would benefit from having the Fantastic Four join their Cinematic Universe as much as Spider-Man. We know from the past that they want the villains though - they at one point offered Fox the chance to keep Daredevil in exchange for Galactus and the Silver Surfer - so that could factor into their decision. Alternatively, Fox might just the rights lapse!

Finally, there's always the chance Fox could reboot the franchise. That could happen in 2017 or five years from now, but that might be a preferable option to letting the rights revert and watching Marvel succeed where they failed! So, what do you think is the best direction for Fantastic Four to go in now that the movie has failed? Here's your chance to let us know, so cast your vote below...
