The Thing Actor Jamie Bell Calls FANTASTIC FOUR A "Bitter Disappointment"

Fantastic Four is one of the worst reviewed superhero movies in recent years and was a huge flop at the box office. Since 2015, pretty much every main cast member has expressed their disappointment with how things turned out and now Jamie Bell - who played that weird looking CGI Thing - is the latest to explain why he felt let down with what ultimately became of the reboot when it reached theaters.

Of course, considering the fact Simon Kinberg took the helm of extensive reshoots which entirely changed the final act and tone of the movie, it's not a surprise things panned out the way they did.

"There were several things on that movie I was clearly not privy to because I’m just an actor and I just do my stuff on set," Bell explained in a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times. "But with something like that, everything starts with the best of intentions. A production begins with the idea to make something that’s unique and original and with integrity. I think the film really strived towards those goals. I don’t know what happened between the launch of the voyage and the arrival. I think we were all bitterly disappointed with that film. But that’s just the way it goes sometimes."

Rumour has it that Fox is planning a Fantastic Four movie which takes place from the point of view of Franklin and Valeria Richards, while a solo outing for Doctor Doom is also said to be on the way. What do you guys think of Bell's comments? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section below.
