They wait until the end to put on the classic costume? That's a clear sign that it's shit.

The cgi looks great for Thing is that first vid. I don't mind the voice, after all there's been many different iterations of his voice in the past.

This guy still has the best though:

That voice was so horrible hahahahahaha oh my god

Sooooo I guess his voice will sound like pre pubescent Thing. Maybe when his junk and balls drop he will get a deeper voice.

@KurtWagner1225 Completely agree. Makes sense considering there's a split among comic book fans as well.

His look to his voice reminds me of this, and the reactions remind me of my reaction to the thing in the trailer...

I'm not buying the spoiler argument. All of these movies get spoiled. That's the nature of business now. you have to promote and with a very good Mission Impossible in the theater. They needed to be more aggressive with press. The MI movie has the potential to take off just like Jurassic World and dominate for a few weeks.

What are the guys from early screenings saying about the film?

The Thing's voice is the least of this movie's concerns. This is just a movie with characters from a popular franchise that has nothing to do with the franchise at all. This is what a high-budget fanfic looks like...and I know there are better, more accurate, fanfics out there too.

@VisualMaximus50 Idk, im just really curious. Im not going to believe those people, im just interested what they think. I cant wait to see if the film is a shitfest or not.

So long as the Thing isn't comic relief like the first movies, I don't care about his voice. I don't think he's gonna be talking very much.

@SpectacularJoShFest

You do realize that this movie has one of the most comic accurate origins ever put to film?

The Embargo being lifted late is indicative of the confidence fox has both critically and financially. It is also indicative of the behind the scene troubles the movie had, Mad Max had similar problems which is why it also lifted it's embargo a day before

People do realize every movie based of a comic book is exactly that right? BASED because they don't have to follow the guidelines. The filmmakers are entitled to their own vision and use the name for a very good reason. So they won't get [frick]ing sued.

Yea it's accurate to Ultimate comics but the common rebuttal to that is " that doesn't count ultimate sucks" so when it is accurate it is negated becasue the books suck which is true but it doesn't change the fact that it is accurate to a source material.

I guess Torch being black automatically makes the entire movie " not FF"

@UltimateCookie you don't really know if it's an accurate origin. None of us have seen it yet. The key word is based. We don't know which parts of the Ultimate's run the director has chosen to include.
