"There will be a trailer fairly soon, actually," the actor revealed in a recent chat with IGN Movies when quizzed about when exactly we'll get the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated movie. "Around Christmas time, I believe. It's just around the corner." So, if that's the case, I guess we can expect to see it attached to Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows in the UK and more than likely The Adventures of Tintin in the US.

To hear more from the actor on what it's been like to work as Second Unit Director and using the Red One Epic camera, which shoots in 5K resolution at 48 frames a second in 3D, be sure to click on the link below to head on over to the site.

Even though it was a small role, he was pretty good in The Prestige as well. Just shows how talented he really is.

Sweet! I bet its only a teaser and about 30 seconds long, but anything would be great to start picking apart like a pack savage dogs.

Most underrated actor working in Hollywood right now. Deserved to me nominated for an Oscar for Lord of The Rings The Two Towers, deserves to be nominated to Rise. Keep up the good work Mr. Serkis.

Wait, so The Adventures of Tintin hasn't been released yet in the US? And the trailer will possibly be attached to the movie in the US? Well, I feel a bit unlucky to have just seen the movie yesterday...

if the Academy acknowledged the Best Virtual Performance of an actor like what MTV Movie Awards way back 2003 did when Gollum(Serkis) won the awards then he'll probably got one or two now after his portrayal of Kong in KingKong.

Doubtful Serkis will get a regular acting Oscar nod. More likely they'll give him an honorary special achievement award.
