As we know Bradley Cooper will play the original Fallen Angel Lucifer in Alex Proyas' adaptation of Milton's Paradise Lost. In the following video interview with Empire the actor jokes about doing no preparation at all and simply "winging it". He then shows us a couple of set images of himself wearing a very unique mo-cap suit. He also hints that Lucifer will be "The Angel Of Light" for the majority of the movie and only become "The Devil" towards the end when he will adopt a more "cracked" sounding voice. In the brief second vid Cooper explains that he left the remake of The Crow when the original director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo did..

Paradise Lost will be released in 2013. Keep an eye on CBM for some more set pics and official stills soon.

Smart move on his part. Paradise Lost doesn't necessarily lock him into anything (as I'm sure with Crow they'd want to sign him up for sequels), plus it'll get him more recognition and it has a different sense of respect to it over a comic book movie.

Good I dont want a remake of The Crow, theres no need. If they want to make money they should just rerelease it to theaters for pure profit. Also Bradley Cooper would never sell me as Eric Draven.

He's played a lot of roles that seem just like how I picture Lucifer to act.

Couldn't have been given a better set up for this film. Being the Worlds sexiest man, and then having to play the most beautiful of all Angels in Heaven.

To be honest, I would really like to see the Crow turn into kind of a mentor picture with the dead rocker being trained by Sting. The whole Crow thing is the only reason WCW lasted as long as it did and I really believe Sting deserves to be a part of the remake.

Cooper seems really cool but I have yet to see him give a really great performance. I realize he has mostly done comedy so far but still, a bit worried about him playing Lucifer.

Thank gd they dident remake the crow, I just watched it this past week cuz I was curious and I can say without a doubt that that was one of the worst movies I've ever seen, pure and utter shit.

The character is crappy and the movie itself was horrible, reminded me alot of spawn, except alot worse, and spawns actually a cool character.

@Ror I agree, Cooper hasn't done much beyond comedy, plus I've never seen him as Lucifer before.
Still, I'm extremely excited for this film. My most anticipated film of 2013 next to Man Of Steel.

He could be just right for Lucifer, but I had a very hard time picturing him as The Crow. Also, I would love to see a Crow remake. I think the first one was crap.

@Fastestmanalive If that is one of the worst movies you've ever seen (assuming you saw the original with Brandon Lee).. I'm afraid to know what the best movie you've ever seen was. And calling the character crappy? Come on now.

Let's see here... The leading character is a man who is brought back from the dead because what was done to him and his loved one in life was so horrific that it NEEDED to be avenged... And he proceeds to one by one gain said vengeance against the scum of humanity who took everything away from him, whilst battling with the emotional torture of losing his beloved in one of the worst ways possible... He then shows that his humanity is still in tact through his interactions with the good people in his life (i.e. the little girl and the cop). Hmmm... I don't know about you, but that's a pretty good foundation for a character that is not only badass but also sympathetic. Side note: Brandon Lee did a wonderful job portraying Eric, I felt that in some ways Brandon Lee was even more inspirational than the comic book counterpart, which is quite rare.

I'd say give it another try, but meh.. you should probably stick with Spawn (because the Spawn movie was so awesome, right?)

On topic: Bradley Cooper as The Crow wouldn't have worked, so i'm glad that the remake isn't going forward. I have a much easier time seeing him as Lucifer anyway. Looking forward to Paradise Lost. :)

On the other hand though, Cooper is one the most underrated actors out there.

I think the key with Lucifer is not to make him evil. There has to be points in the film where as much as you don't want to, you can't help thinking "you know what, the devil has a point. God is a bit of an ass." Lucifer has to be the most likable guy in the film.
