HOMELAND's Navid Negahban Joins The Cast Of ARROW As 'Al-Owal'
He played the deadly 'Abu Nazir' in the first two seasons of Showtime's Homeland, and now Navid Negahban has joined the cast of Arrow as a new villain 'Al-Owal'; a character who will make his debut in the episode called "League of Assassins". Read on for details!
E! News has revealed that Navid Negahban - who is perhaps best known for starring in the likes of 24 and Homeland - will play 'Al-Owal' in the fifth episode of season two of Arrow. According to the site, "Awwal isn't just your average foe as he has major ties to a group of baddies DC Comics fans know very well, which also connects him to Malcolm Merlyn...Meticulous, driven, and deadly, Al-Owal, whose name in Arabic means "The First," is after someone very close to Oliver. Oh, and the man knows how to handle a scimitar." That's an intriguing description, and it should be interesting to see how Negahban character will fit into the possible (and rumoured) introduction of Ra's Al Ghul's League of Assassins.
