Micro-News: ARROW Season 2, Aronofsky's WOLVERINE, Rucka On Ellen Page And More

Arrow season 2 tease
Katie Cassidy teases Arrow season 2 with E!---"I feel like it's season one times ten. I feel like every episode has been so big and I literally did not think when we shot the first season it would get bigger I would just figure it would get smaller. Literally they have taken season two and just have expanded it bigger and it's just amazing! Expect the unexpected and just know it's darker."

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. trouble
Keep this one labeled as a rumor for now but Defamer reports that the scripts for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have been bad and have forced Joss Whedon to do extensive rewrites---"Looks like ABC's highly anticipated Joss Whedon-produced drama is in need of a superhero. A source close to the show tells us that the latest scripts that have come in have been so bad, Whedon had to pull off a page one rewrite just an hour before the table read. Given that Whedon is supposed to be transitioning full showrunner responsibilities to his brother Jed Whedon and sister-in-law Maurissa Tancharoen so that he can focus on his 83 other film projects, this ain't a good sign."

Darren Aronofsky's The Wolverine
James Mangold's take on Wolverine was pretty good but does Hugh Jackman ever think about the version Darren Aronofsky would have made? ---"I do think about it. And he had some ideas. But, the truth be told, people say how different was this from Darren's vision. And Darren, because of "Black Swan," hadn't really got into it that much. I mean, he was on it for about six months, but most of those six months was the award circuit for "Black Swan." So, there was some ideas -- the title, being one, "The Wolverine." He was like, "There's no way I'm making the thing called 'Wolverine II.'" And he said, "And I want this to be different; I want it to stand alone." And that was an idea we all embraced. But, I actually think this worked out great. Somewhere down the line, in my imagination, the film fan in me and the comic book fan -- would I like to see an Aronofsky version? Probably."

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. trouble
Greg Rucka's Queen & Country has been optioned by Fox and Ellen Page is in negotiations to play the lead role. Rucka spoke to MTV Geek about the casting ---"It's great news. She's an absolutely tremendous actress... [Producers] Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping, I have incredible faith in them. These are professionals--their job is to play the part. Ellen has proven her ability again and again to play the part. To this day, it's one of the best scripts I've ever read--ever. If that's the kind of thing they're going for, and Ellen Page is Tara Chace, she'll manage, don't worry."

@ckal I would love to see a R rated Wolverine movie also, but you can't alienate the children from CBMs. And as for the third act I didn't think it was that bad, MOS had far more goofy looking scenes in it during the fight action in the third and that was fine. Remember these movies are based off comic books, what comic book don't have giant robots and men shooting lasers from their eyes, its fantasy not Shakespeare. Where is your enter child that believe anything is possible, we and I mean me don't want to see all CBMs go the Dark Knight route, it was cool for batman just not good for all CBMs.

@GURILLAPUD
Just stay on it, it gets better right after episode 4, episode 15 "The Odyssey" is brilliant and the finale is PERFECT.

To make a true Wolvie movie it has to be R, or 15 or 18 in Britain. I'm glad the Wolverine pushed the PG 13 to its limit.

Actually, I'd be curious to see what a rated "G" Wolverine would be like.
