Remember this article Arrow fans? I might be psychic. Check out what Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently teased on twitter.

CW Arrow Ted Kord Blue Beetle teaser

Now we don't know if this means Ted Kord himself will be appearing or if Oliver (Stephen Amell) will be getting some Kord Industries tech or something else similar but I'm excited by the myriad of possibilities. New episodes of Arrow return to airwaves April 24th.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.

Just give us nightwing already. A GA/nightwing team- up against deathstroke in season 2, it's perfect.

Ted Kord Blue Beetle doesn't have any special powers so he's perfect for Arrow.

I've always thought that Colin Hanks would make a great Ted Kord. Also, that pic of BB from Smallville looks worse than a Big Bad Beetleborg.(Booster's costume looks good, though)

Ohhhhhh yes, yes yes.
Ted Kord is one of my favorite characters. Super cool. "Batman without the baggage", as I read elsewhere.
I hope he is an honest-to-God superhero in the show, though. Be nice for Ollie to have an actual costumed ally. Huntress was a bust, we know Slade or Wintergreen will be a baddie and those are the only costumed crusaders we've seen so far.

Anyone hoping Nightiwing is in season 2 you can forget it. The ONLY way Nightiwing will make it, is if SHIELD is successful and Marvel once again has to show WB how to do it and that they can have the same heroes on television and in the movies.
If they do that THEN WB might let go of their stupid rule that movie characters cannot be on television.
So that would mean if Nightwing has a chance at all, it would have to be season 3 or up

"Smarter than the Bats? Thats a load of bull. They're just saying that to make him cool. I like the Blue Beetle and all but thats just crap."

I think he means in regard to Batman taking and adapting existing technology (be it from his company, other sources or alien technology) to build his hardware while Kord invents it from scratch. Outside of the baggage, that's kind of the fine line where Batman is primarily a detective with unbelievable general knowledge while Kord is a primarily a scientist and inventor.

Even Batman has specific field experts he goes to for a fresh pair of eyes.

And slso

Kord Industries Man they are just troing yall a bone you all know about the no power rule!! That means NO blue beetle!! Thats the reason why i know in the end this serie will fail.

There has been a tendencie in the superhero genre to make everything realistic! WHY are we as comicbook ashame to show the world that the fantasie side can be great!

If i were to make a Robin hood series set in the here and now (like Sherlock's Elementary) how mutch diffrent would it be from the Arrow series??

Theyr making Green Arrow hwo is a Superhero
In to a Action hero. And that sucks monkeyballs!!

The thing is to me a action hero is a downgrade to a superhero.

Dont hate the super Embrace it! ;)

You do realize Ted Kord's Blue Beetle had no super powers? He was strictly self made, using training and technology to become a hero. And given Mike Grell's Green Arrow, which this series borrows heavily from tonally, lasted from '87 to 94, a TV series following that mold might actually stand a chance.

It helps to have a larger understanding about the character you're talking about before write off a particular interpretation.

I don't understand this "hatred" of realism. If it you need fantasy for comic book to work. Street level vigilantes like Batman, Green Arrow, Blue Beetle work in a realistic setting.

Frankly, I find this series way more interesting than most GA comics I've read in the past 15 years or so. Meltzer's run being the exception.

Also, although I love me some Ted Kord (I grew up reading JLI) Jaime Reyes is also awesome. Change is not a bad thing, boys and- do we have girls here?

Blue Beetle looked absolutely hideous in Smallville. i wonder if Ted Kord will come with a Dan Garrett mention; Young Justice did it perfectly in the episode where they revealed the origin of the Scarab.

@TerminalVoyd I know exactly who ted kord is!

But come on do we really wanna see ted swing on a rope and shoot with His BB gun??

Or would we rather see this

OOh yeah wait the no power rule right.
Man that rule SUCKS! a super hero series with no super in it SUCKS! and aint worthy of being a called a superhero serie. that stupit ass rule is cutting of great Possibilities.

Think about it Dc could have introduce a lot of great charachters and story lines that would have been great for tv. But because of this wack ass lame ass rule this serie is confined to like 2% of the hole DC pantheon.
why WHY would you detain yourself from being all you can be!!THAT MAKES NO SENCE!!!

Dont hate the super Embrace it!!

King Marvel is correct. Why base your show on a superhero & leave out the "super"?
I like Arrow..but glad they don't call him Green Arrow because the show isn't like the comics.

Doubt if we ever will get a direct translation of comic book to live action..but that's why I read comics,to get the REAL superheroes.
