Paris Hilton Inspired Seth Rogen's Portrayal Of The Green Hornet!

Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds! Check out what the actor had to say about his inspiration of the Britt Reid character before he becomes the heroic Green Hornet...

Britt Reid is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato, they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. But in order to do this, they decide to become criminals themselves – protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets. Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato’s clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case, they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky. But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.

"We kind of based him off a male Paris Hilton, as embarrassing as that is to say. That is what we looked at — those people who are the sons or daughters of people who have accomplished great things. We probably give them a little more credit than they've gotten in the past and we explore why they're such jerks and why they act out. Maybe it's because they didn't get the attention they wanted."

The Green Hornet is set to be released this Friday in IMAX 3D!

Rogen really needs to keep his mouth shut. Every thing he's saying isn't helping.

He probably pulls off the jerk-to-superhero better than Ryan Reynolds.

I think he sounds a lot smarter than people give him credit for and he's pretty honest about his portrayal of Britt Reid. I think it's kind of cool that he's admitting that's it's not a Bruce Wayne-Batman. It's more like the lazy dickhead (which he knows how to play) to a guy who just got bitchslapped and has to responsibility for his failures (with a lot of comedy). Let's see if he can pull of a serious side. 48 Hours + Batman

I'm really looking forward to seeing this on Friday. While I can understand why the hardcore fans arent happy with the casting choices and tone, I for one think it looks fantastic judging by the trailers and footage I've seen so far. Should be a good way of kicking off an awesome year of comic book movies!

earzmundo: I've never read a Green Hornet comic book in my life to be perfectly honest bud! :) Do you need a good knowledge of the character to read them, or are they a good jumping on point?

I'm hopeful for this movie. I loved watching the reruns of the old show when I was a kid.

At first I was kind of "meh" on the whole thing, but the more I see and hear, the more I think this movie is going to be good.

I read the Kevin Smith written Novel of the Hornet. It's straight forward, and pretty good. The film looks promising.

Wow I didn't thought of it that way. Maybe people like Paris Hilton are like that because they didn't get some attention from there parents.
