'Extended Cut' For Green Lantern Seemingly Confirmed!

Amazon UK's listing for Martin Campbell's Green Lantern has revealed that an extended cut version of the film will indeed be released. More info after the jump!

The official listing for the release of Green Lantern at Amazon UK has apparently confirmed a rumor that's been active ever since the movie came out in theaters. While still showing the mediocre cover art for the Blu-Ray release, check out the official listing below that seemingly confirms that an extended cut of the film will be released...

While the running time for the original cut of Green Lantern was an hour and 45 minutes (aka 105 minutes), the extended cut will add an additional fourteen minutes of footage, which will hopefully fill in some of the gaps in the original cut.

i think in 14 minutes it could do alot, like show the connection between sinestro and the yellow ring, also it could have more space scenes. either way, im buyin it, and no im not a mole or a fanboy.

? 14 Minutes? You can't do jack with 14 minutes, if it was done like DAREDEVIL directors cut with an addition 45 minutes and complete reediting yeah it would be worht it but 14 minutes isn't snot!

Cool. I will get this. I don't care if it is just 14 minutes. If you don't like the movie so much. Why come and post on every article and say it sucks and your not going to get it.

@brazilianbatman: beacause many thin a shorter film gets more money by having more projections for each theatre.
If the 14 minutes get more character development (especially Sinestro's) it would probably get the film a bit better.

I'm from australia and the movie just released here today, seen it with the mrs as I always do, I have read a few comics my mrs has not. I think this was a fantastic movie and a blockbuster, it had a couple things I didn't like, 1. Y did they have to use full cgi suits, the cgi mask made Hal look like rubber. 2. The lack of use of other characters, not enough of kilowog. But apart from that I loved it my mrs loved it and both think it's on par with Thor, alot better than cap America but not as good as xmen:)
