In other news, we've learned that Aaron Sims is the latest name added to the
Green Lantern film crew. His work has been featured in CGI-heavy film like
The Incredible Hulk,
X-Men Origins: Wolverine and the upcoming
Clash of the Titans. During last night's red carpet premiere of COFT, MTV NEWS caught up with Sims to discuss his involvement with Martin Campbell's
Green Lantern which is currently filming in New Orleans, LA. Though Sims remained tight lipped regarding specific details, he did say this,
"The one thing I can say is that we designed a lot of aliens. I'm excited about the project... The director is incredible. It's going to be a really fun project." When asked whether he's had a close encounter with the most important, tangible prop for the film, Sims said no.
"I wished I touched the ring," he laughed.
So far we've had confirmation that several different aliens will appear in the film. Those are Sinestro, Abin Sur, Kilowog, Tomar Re, the Guardians of the Universe and Salaak. In case you missed seeing them, here are the concept images revealed several months ago that showcase some of the film's key characters:
