A Green Lantern TV series is in development for HBO Max, and we recently learned that Finn Wittrock will suit up as Guy Gardner, a member of the Green Lantern Corps in the present day.

It's still very early days for the project, and during a recent interview with Rotten Tomatoes, the American Horror Story star confirmed that he's not actually seen his costume yet.

"I'm very interested to see quite how skin-tight this Green Lantern [suit] will be," Wittrock said, adding that in the comic books, he's noticed that there's really "not a whole lot of wiggle room.

"[I haven't] seen much," he added when pressed for details. "It's still early, 'cause we don't start filming for a while."

The show still needs to put together its cast, and Guy and Alan Scott are the only confirmed additions to the project thus far (you have to believe the latter will be the next announcement).

Written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Seth Grahame-Smith, Green Lantern reinvents the classic DC property through a story spanning decades and galaxies, beginning on Earth in 1941 with the very first Green Lantern, secretly gay FBI agent Alan Scott, and 1984, with cocky alpha male Guy Gardner (Wittrock) and half-alien Bree Jarta. They’ll be joined by a multitude of other Lanterns - from comic book favourites to never-before-seen heroes.

As for Guy, he's a hulking mass of masculinity, and, as rendered in the comics, an embodiment of 1980s hyper-patriotism. And yet, Guy is somehow likeable.

Are you excited for this small screen reboot of the Green Lantern franchise?

So this does sound like it's going to show multiple Lanterns at different points in history? That'd be pretty damn cool. I really wanna see Jon Stewart brought to life. He's always been my favorite, especially in the Cartoons.
