much better than the original. hope the warner's executive will see this and fire those people who made the official trailer who made it comedic.

Its ok, but they just stripped the whole thing of dialog and took out the silly scenes that bookended the trailer! Why not just cut those bits and leave it at that in the first place? Seriously though, as good as I think the overall trailer is, that last scene in the apartment seems like it belongs in a frakkin American Pie movie.

not a bad effort,i think it'll be good, but not great the cgi needs work done to it.

& thats what the re-editted trailer shows.

It is a good guess at putting things in proper sequence. And removing the dialogue does give it a more epic feel.

Thumbs Up.

its a good effort but not very thought tru. having the scene withthe jets after he obtained the ring in the trailer is kinda weird. why would he hav to be in a jet if he can fly by himself...

also the music is kinda plain and generic.

Not bad but the music really suck!

Yeah, the music kinda sucked in both versions. My problem with GL is the lack of solid looking constructs. That punch he threw in the alley looked too fluid-like.

This would have been better

And Blake Lively's acting is anything but what her last name suggests.

"Hal, you're late! This test today is important." Like nails on a chalkboard.

This makes a lot of sense as a teaser trailer. From an advertising standpoint, the full trailer might be appropriate closer to the release date of the movie allowing them more time to edit things like the special effects and work on the dialogue.

I really hope that's not James Newton Howard's music. That was way to Harry Potter, but then maybe that's who they were targeting. Come to the Green Side and forget about the never ending years of Potter.

Mark Strong IS Sinestro. I think on that we can all agree. But I'm still on the fence about the tone of this. His performance is too much 'Ryan Reynolds' and not enough 'Hal Jordan'. I kept expecting him to say, "Write that down..."

Anyone notice the green fire in the background of the end is similar to the dark knight's blue fire in the opening ?

You guys have to remember the marketers are selling RYAN REYNOLDS He's the guy who's become the bankable box office name, and that they spent hundreds of millions of dollars on.

The first trailer is meant to suck his audience in, which consists of a strong minority of women. Get the women sucked in, then take it into serious GL fan space - probably the marketing strategy, not that I agree with it. But it will work.

I think the serious parts look amazing - Campbell is one of those guys who doesn't screw up either. And he's not an Ang Lee. Campbell has alot more masculinity in his foundational body of work, and he's not quite so artsy fartsy.

You guys have to remember, he's already done a CBM movie - arguably one of the best of all time.
Creature

I like this one better. Thing is, each trailer needs a comic touch at the end to show it's not all too serious. It's a cliche method and too common. Green Lantern looks very good.
