@Shocker: Relax, dude. I'm sure he's waiting on Fox, just like we are. He wants to play Deadpool right.

He's isn't doing anything relating....he'll be tied up on other projects. And you Marvel fans should just pray Fox loses it's rights.

RR is a great actor. :)

I highly doubt Deadpool will happen anytime soon. Green Lantern was the for sure thing. He probably knew that, and that's why he went with GL.

GL2... Should be pretty interesting. I'm hoping they can get ILM on the effects if a sequel happens. Maybe it'll make the nitpickers happy. ;D

I think Reynolds needs to give someone else a chance at being a comic book superhero.

Nothing against the guy...just taking all the parts. I still can't believe he's still thinking about possibly being Flash, another article i remembered reading on here said he was thinking about either flash or deadpool. But yeah...no, just no. Being both GL and Flash would be too stupid and confusing.

@LP4
He's NOT up for The Flash.It was on the cards along with Deadpool and GL.He picked GL.Someone else will be Flash.You've misread his statement from a few days back I think...

I'm not surprised this is happening. WB def needs another Epic story to keep them going now that Potter is ending.

This movie looks terrible. People seem to forget that it's going to be nothing like the Nolan-verse because its NOT done by Nolan.
Blake Lively is amazingly hot and talented. She shouldn't have signed onto this crap.

Adults throwing popcorn at the screen during this trailer in BOTH THOR and The Hangover part 2 is NOT a good sign.

The folks over at Box Office Mojo don't seem to keen on GL,recently predicting it to come in as the 12th place for top grossing summer films. They predict $130 million domestic and $225 foreign box office totals($355 million overall). Interesting to see how well their predictions are. Hopefully it does well enough for sequel.

12. Green Lantern (June 17) - $130 million
Every week a new Green Lantern trailer seems to spring up, which reeks of desperation. With the movie's makers perhaps fearing a total fanboy affair, the latest trailer finally, if unsubtly, explains some of what the bejesus is going on via narration (at the expense of Ryan Reynolds' lead character), but this movie still looks like goofy sci-fi fantasy mumbo jumbo, riffing on Star Wars with its "force" talk and computer-generated alien characters. Green Lantern's power still isn't clear (apparently he can conjure whatever he wills?), and he seems to lack vulnerability. A clear, strong villain is also absent (beyond an amorphous "yellow" force), and that's a key ingredient to superhero movie success. Green Lantern seems most reminiscent of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, only less grounded. Green Lantern may be big in the DC Comics universe, but he's not mainstream, and it can't help to have The Green Hornet released recently. Reynolds' character looks like an attempt to duplicate Robert Downey, Jr.'s from Iron Man with a dash of Superman. Warner Bros.' sheer force of will may drum up a decent sampling. Bottom Line: Green Lantern's light doesn't seem bright enough.
