GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2: Watch A Lengthier Version Of The Adolescent Groot After-Credits Scene

Marvel Studios has released an extended version of the Adolescent Groot after-credits scene from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and it features some lines of dialogue not included in the sequel.

One of the coolest moments in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 came when we were introduced to an adolescent version of Groot in one of the movie's many mid-credits scenes. We'll be getting a little more familiar with that version of the sentient tree in Avengers: Infinity War next year but for now, Marvel has released an extended version of his scene to mark the sequel's upcoming Blu-ray release.

It's not clear whether this will be included as a special feature but it seems to be Chris Pratt reeling off a variety of lines for his testy interaction with Groot. Did James Gunn pick the best one, though?

We'll let you decide that but it was a good night for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at the Teen Choice Awards last night as both Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana nabbed prized at the event. What are your feelings about Adolescent Groot? Be sure to share your thoughts down in the comments section.

I look forward to what Gunn digs up for the next outing. As long as everyone gets their moments to shine (preferably in both dramatic and comedic ways) then I'm good. I do kind of wish we could get back to adult Groot though. Wish we had more time with the version from the first movie. Imagine how invaluable he would have been in Vol. 2 if storytelling allowed it.

I rewatched this yesterday and my god did the stupid jokes get on my nerves, but the taserface part was hilarious tho, still a good movie, still wasted kurt russel, still felt the gamora and nebula arc was not needed but yeah the rest was fine...

I still cant believe how great this year has been, new entries such as kong skull island and baby driver were great, and cbms be slaying!!!

"I'm not boring"

Probably an early cgi stage, but the way groot looks in the additional scenes is terrible

Haha anyone who hates the 'dance-off' scene either takes themselves too seriously, or doesn't understand the completely ridiculous nature of the film and this takes the film too seriously. It fit perfectly with the tone of the film, the characters, and the moment. And got probably the biggest laugh in my theatre also. If you think it undercut the big dramatic moment which followed, remind yourself: this is a film starring a perpetually grumpy talking space racoon that is fond of machine guns. It's a kids movie.

Take a black light inside Teen Groot's room and I bet there is tree sap everywhere.
