Last night, Marvel Studios stole the show at the Super Bowl with a gorgeous new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Teasing big stakes and a powerful ending to James Gunn's trilogy, something tells us we'll need a hanky on hand when the threequel finally arrives in theaters.
A new gallery of stills has been released following that epic sneak peek, offering a closer look at Baby Rocket, Cosmo, The High Evolutionary, and the returning Gamora.
While she died in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame saw the hero's 2014 Variant brought into the present day. The rebirth of the Multiverse has likely helped Gamora avoid being pruned, but can Peter Quill get her to fall in love with him all over again?
Gunn's Guardians finale promises to be epic, and we know he won't be back for a fourth instalment now he's in charge of DC Studios and the DCU. Hopefully, this team's story will continue with a new filmmaker at the helm, with Gunn's next movie likely to be Superman: Legacy.
Check out these new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 stills below.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.
Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.
