GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 May Not Introduce Adam Warlock After All

James Gunn revealed behind the scenes info regarding VOL. 2 on Twitter this morning. Among the details included a few tweets that alluded fans to think that Adam Warlock may not appear in VOL. 3 after all.

Sure, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was divisive when compared to the original. While, some consider it one of the best superhero films of all time, others think of it was akin to a filler episode in the Marvel Cinemative Universe. While I myself fall into the former, both sides do have their valid points, but there is certainly one thing almost all comic book fans are looking forward to in the future of the cosmic MCU: Adam Warlock.

Adam Warlock, who was created to be the most perfect of beings, has already been confirmed to exist in the MCU. His debut in one of the many mid-credits scenes of Vol. 2 was definitely the one most speculated. Many assumed that the character would be in the forefront when it came to Vol. 3, but recent tweets by direcor James Gunn has left fans with uncertainty.

In the tweet the director even admitted that Marvel did not have plans for the character at the time. Though that may have changed throughout production, Gunn seems as though he is keeping control of fan anticipation for the character. It is easy to assume that this is because Warlock may not be in Vol. 3 (or in the MCU in the near future.) It seems that he may have his title down the line, but for now we will just have to wait.

Will Adam Warlock be in Vol. 3?

Could've sworn Gunn said Adam Warlock in Vol. 3 was set in stone a few months back

@Kevwebsz - Noticed that looking through contributions just now, but I was planning on writing on this topic when I got home since when the tweets came out. Either way I still feel it is a topic worth more attention

He better be baiting, he shoved in the Sovereign and the second post credit scene we've seen teasing Warlock.

Then again, he'd probably mess it up.

I could live with or without him. I've never thought he was that interesting of a character. And I really would rather see a story set in the far future with the classic Guardians lineup.

Hey, if Warlock isn’t working out in the script for #3, I say don’t force it. Go where the story demands.
