Ghostbusters: Afterlife is set for release this November, and on the haunted heels of a new trailer and a pair of theatrical posters, Empire Magazine has debuted a pair of new promo stills.
The first image features the next generation of spook-hunters led by Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and Phoebe (Mckenna Grace), while the second provides our best look yet at one of the new ghosts we'll meet in the movie, Muncher. We don't know a whole lot about this flabby fella of the role he'll play, but he definitely seems to be inspired by our old pal Slimer, who is also expected to appear.
Full reviews are still embargoed, but Afterlife screened at CinemaCon last month, and the first social media reactions were mostly very positive.
From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.
Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts have all been confirmed to reprise their roles from the original movies, and they'll be joined by Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Carrie Coon (Fargo), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel).
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is currently set to blast into theaters on November 11, 2021.
