And here is what the artist had to say about this piece:

"Iron Man's 50th is fast approaching. Here's a suit for each year of publication. Have fun figuring out what each of them does and where they appeared!

Thanks to Flicks and Bits for the heads up.

The only problem I have with the suits in the movie are we don't get to see them for enough time before they get destroyed or a new one shows up.

Would have loved to see the Mark V in flight, also now that I see and remember how that mask closed makes me think thats how the new War Machine one closes.

Hmm, cool ass concept, wish someone like Frank Cho, Joe MAD, or Ed McGuinness would do one of these. Also what's with that weird Doc Strange/Dr. Fate looking one in the top left.

@BlackFlash I didn't think the suitcase armor in IM2 could fly -- Tony had sacrificed flyability for portability. Otherwise he could have flown above Vanko and taken him out from a safer position.

I agree, Tony goes through suits in the movies like a supermodel through dresses, but I guess that's the tradeoff when you only have two hours of movie every couple of years to show off new tech (versus the monthly schedule of comics).

Gusto u go thru as many pairs of grape smugglers as tony goes thru as many bottles of good whiskey. Now that sounds more likely to me...unless they are actually MADE of iron then they would probably take about a year to rust out.
