The stupidest thing about Ironman 3 was that at the end, it seemed like all his suits were made of garbage cans. They fell apart so easily. He fought Thor in one and it held up pretty good, not to mention the Aliens invaders and these fire guys can pull them apart like a sandwich. give me a break.

I'm really tired of this movie...I can't wait when this movie will has finished in the theatres and nobody will not talk about it.

There were certain things that were handled perfectly in IM3, the destruction of his home (pure visually seen) was one of those moments.

It wasn't the worst CBMs of all time, but it sure wasn't the best. I'd like an Iron Man IV just so they can end on a stronger, 5-star-like note, but that's probably just me on that opinion.

There was a lot in this movie that seemed to play great ideas off just for laughs; Tony's PTSD was something that could have gone a little deeper, a little darker. While they hit the mark a couple of times, the rest seemed as though it was just for comedic effect. I think PTSD from New York would have been something very new and bold for a CBM to explore, and there's no doubt that it would have struck a saliant chord with members of the audience who have seen loved ones come back from war 'different'. I don't think what Shane Black offered them a back-handed slap, but he certainly missed a golden opportunity to make it real.

And I'm still uncomfortable about the whole Mandarin-thing. I can see why they did it, and I think it would have looked great on paper, but if nothing else I think that Ben Kingsley offered us a real villain of gravitas, intellect and formidability that the franchise deserved -- I didn't mind so much that it was a sleight-of-hand, but again the reveal was too irresistable to be made fun of and cheapened it greatly. Another missed opportunity.

And the end... agh, I agree when some people say it devalued the power of the Iron Man suits. It was like Inverse-Ninja Law. We've seen one Iron Man take on a Leviathan, but a squadron of them can't take on a squad of fire-powered vets?

The closure of Tony and his heart-issues took me the most by surprise, and I hope it is something that pays off later on down the track. And I don't know about you, but it seems like a bit of a plot-hole that he knew the doctor who could help him out since the late-1990's but didn't think to give him a call when he was dying from palladium poisoning. It was an odd choice that I hope pays off.

Again, while it isn't the worst of CBMs (and I'm looking at you Green Lantern, Elektra, Fantastic Four), I felt it was the weakest entry in the Iron Man series by at least a small margin. It gave me new respect for Iron Man II, and I missed the heady themes of military-industrial complex, how Gods can bleed and of leaving behind a legacy.

I agree this movie will be remembered as one of the worst CBMs out there. You know that feeling where you loved a movie so much and you thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, but you watch it later and realize that it is crap! Yup that is how some fanboys will come to terms with this movie.

That being said congrats to IM3 for robbing people of hard earned money.

A fun movie and that's about it.

Action Packed, Fun, True to most aspects of Iron Man except the official Mandarin, which actually makes him relevant to today's world, connects all three films to the Ten Rings terrorist organization that held Tony hostage & doesn't have Iron Man trying to figure out how to fight magic in a science-based trilogy.

If you have not seen Iron Man 3, do not let the negative comments control your opinion. Go see it & judge for your self. Haters are always going to hate. That's why they are nothing in the existence of the world & will never succeed to their full potential.

I have been in the comic book industry for over 10 years & I loved this movie. The haters of the Killian Mandarin unfortunately did not understand the concept of the Mandarin's irrelevance in the Iron Man films & some are just haters to be haters (particularly Nolanites).
