DREDD: 1 DAY OF ACTION For A Sequel

With over 80,000 signatures; consistently strong DVD/Blu-ray sales and a sequel comic set to arrive next week- the Make a DREDD Sequel campaign will ramp up another notch with a display of increased support and demand for a sequel film. You too can help...

"On 18th September, we're encouraging everyone to take part in a massive DREDD SEQUEL DAY OF ACTION - we've already made the moneymen who could get behind a sequel sit up and take notice by consistently keeping the DVD and Blu-Ray in the charts on Amazon and now on Netflix.

We're asking everyone who's signed the petition to come together next Wednesday and drive DREDD back up the charts - if everyone who's signed the petition bought an extra DVD or Blu-Ray (either for themselves or as a present for a friend) or rented/bought it on iTunes and Netflix it will send the loudest signal yet that WE WANT MORE DREDD!

So spread the word that on Wednesday 18th September, you're going to bring DREDD back into the public eye! Plus, it's the day that the new comic book sequel comes out, with lots of media attention planned for this and the campaign.

Thanks to Rebellion for helping put this newsletter together - we're also really pleased to reveal that the official T-shirt for the campaign is now available, so you can wear your support with pride!

So, you ready?"

Dredd: Underbelly picks up where the critically-acclaimed movie left off, with Judges Dredd and Anderson fighting the tsunami of crime on the mean streets of the dystopian Mega-City One as perps try to fill the power vacuum left by Ma-Ma's death.

Starting in Meg#340 is the first part of the 3 part story: 'Underbelly' - scripted by Arthur Wyatt and illustrated by Henry Flint.

In my humble opinion....GREATEST CBM EVER! can watch this over and over and still get better tingles than Chris Matthews watching Obama taking a shower.

Beware the greatest Dredd troll ever ( weneedrevelation ) to stink up this page with something.

I watched Dredd for the first time just a few days ago and was really impressed. I'd definitely purchase a ticket to see a sequel in theaters.

DREDD was the biggest surprise for me last year. Amazing using of slow motion and action on a budget of only $45-50 million. I've done everything I can to get people to see it and I'm glad to see its already large fanbase still growing! DREDD 2 now!

Why is this happening. My wife and I watched Dredd last week. It wasn't even worth the dollar it cost me at the Redbox. It amazes me how people liked this movie, yet hated Man Of Steel and Into Darkness. Bad taste in movies abound.

Honestly, I think the Stallone Dredd was more entertaining than this movie. That one sucked too, but at least it one good actor in Armand Assante.

Maybe they should actually make a good film worthy of a sequel, instead of one that needs a petition to be made. Lol Dredd.

Didn't care for the film...at all. From Dredd going from normal voice to the gravelly voice (why?), to the annoying slow motion (i get the drug thing,but still found it annoying) and no real threat other than numbers of people with guns. I found it to be redundant and weak overall. The only fight he had in which there was any sense he had a formidable opponent was against the other judges. One I will never watch again. Sure the violence was gritty and frequent, but it takes more than violence to make a good movie.

I forgot about Godzillafart when mentioning weenierevelation as tireless trolls on the Dredd circuit. Now i see another in ConquerKang27 who is almost so identical to weenierevelation that i think it might be the same guy.

I see the flamewars between the Nolanites and the Whedonese but you have to be completely devoid of basic CBM joy if you did'nt like Dredd. Its so good....its just so f#@cking good!

@Ranger14

You are the only one with some sense, thank you. I never troll, in fact I'm more open minded and forgiving than most fanboys. But man, I could not get into this movie. To those who haven't seen it yet, don't bother, unless you are a die hard Dredd fan. Even then, it's questionable.

gaikinger - 9/12/2013, 8:14 AM
...notice how small and insignifigant the number of Dredd haters their are....statistically they are probably retarded.
ConquerorKang27
ConquerorKang27 - 9/12/2013, 8:15 AM
@gaikinger

Get a clue, son. Terrible acting, no plot whatsoever, and dragged out slow motion scenes. I am the farthest thing from a troll, I just have better taste in movies than you.

Good luck with your pipe dream for a sequel to this crappy movie, lol.

Hopefully Hellboy 3 happens in some way like Dredd 2 is. Hellboy 3 won't be in a comic though. Del Toro and Mignola said they don't want to put the film in comics form. Maybe an animated movie. Still go for Dredd 2.

Gusto has been doing a petition for Green Lantern 2. So far only him and Geoff Johns has signed it.

Green Lantern couldn't even get a sequel, but Hellboy can.
