Batman-on-Film has a very interesting rumor, their longtime source, "industry insider," claims that Warner Bros. is considering setting the new
Justice League into it's own universe. A separate continuity from Zack Snyder's
Man of Steel. Meaning, Henry Cavill would not be featured in
Justice League, nor would the new rebooted Batman, whoever that will be.
Question: Could a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie be set within it’s own continuity and universe without any tie-ins to future DC Comics-based solo films?
Rumor has it that Warner Bros. has at least considered the possibility, according to a longtime film industry insider “FOBOF.”
This isn't the first time Warner Bros. has considered this strategy. When George Miller (
Mad Max) was putting together his
Justice League film the plan was to feature a Superman and a Batman that were not played by Brandon Routh (
Superman Returns) or Christian Bale (
Batman Begins).
