Massive amounts of studio interference hasn't given Warner Bros. the win they hoped for when starting an DC cinematic universe. We're now five films into the
DCEU, and while there have been quite a few missteps, it certainly doesn't take away from some of the awesome moments we've gotten to see onscreen!
With a big shakeup to Warner Bros.' top brass after the poor performance of
Justice League, we're taking a look back at some of the best moments the DCEU has given us so far. Check out the full list below!

Justice League (2017) - A League Of Our Own
One of the best parts of
Justice League didn't even involve the titular characters! The film's mid-credits sequence saw
Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) having escaped from prison, meeting with
Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello) about forming "a league of their own" after the resurrection of Superman. The scene opened the possibility to the see the
Legion of Doom make their way onto the big screen, and while it may be a while until we see them (if Justice League even gets a sequel), it would be an exciting prospect to see them united against some of their biggest villains. Be sure to check out our thoughts on the best candidates
here.
Man of Steel (2013) - Battle of Smallville
There's no doubt that Antje Traue stole the show as
Faora in
Man of Steel, and the battle between her and Superman in Smallville was truly thrilling. For the first time fans were able to see Superman cut loose against Kryptonian foes, and while some took issue with his seeming disregard for massive property damage, watching both sides discover and take advantage of their newly found superpowers made for a fantastic action sequence.
Batman v Superman (2016) - The Trinity Vs. Doomsday
Putting aside whether or not you liked the overall design of
Doomsday, watching Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman take on the Kryptonian abomination was one of the action-packed highlights of
Batman v Superman, which saved most of its superheroic fisticuffs for its final act. Many thought the adaptation of the
Death of Superman comic story came a little too soon, but at the very least, Doomsday provided a brilliant showcase of Wonder Woman's fighting spirit and strength, which was a standout for many in the film.
Batman v Superman (2016) - Fight Night
Yes, we know that the titular fight only last eight minutes, but watching
Batman and
Superman go head to head for the first time onscreen was what many comic fans dreamed of. Director Zack Snyder also threw in a
Dark Knight Returns-inspired Batsuit for good measure, though the scene's concluding
"Martha" moment will probably continue to live in infamy.
Wonder Woman (2017) - Amazonians Vs. Soldiers
After a German cruiser accidentally finds its way to Themyscira in
Wonder Woman's first act, audiences were able to witness the true might of the Amazon warriors as they defended their island from the hostile soldiers. Taking their horses, swords, and bows into battle, the Amazonians slaughter the crew of the ship with relative ease, though it does come at the cost of losing their General, Antiope, who sacrifices her life to save Diana's.
Justice League (2017) - Battle For Earth
The more you analyze
Justice League, the easier it becomes to tell which scenes were crafted by original director
Zack Snyder (who left the film for personal reasons in May of 2017) and which were added by replacement director Joss Whedon. One of the best scenes in the film is the flashback to Steppenwolf's first invasion of Earth, which bears Snyder's trademark sense of scale. The scene, while short, contained plenty of references to the wider DC Universe, including the Green Lantern Corps., the Old Gods, the Atlanteans, and Darkseid's omega symbol, among other things.
Justice League (2017) - I See You
The Justice League were hoping for an ally when bringing Superman back to life, but that's not what they got when the confused Man of Steel defended himself after Cyborg's weapon's system accidentally attacked him. The Man of Steel was easily walloping the League, and while The Flash raced into action to attempt to stop him, it appeared that even travelling at super-speed doesn't escape Superman's notice. As The Flash races past Superman, he notices the Kryptonian's angry gaze meet his own, making for a hilarious and chilling scene.
Man of Steel (2013) - First Flight
Henry Cavill had big shoes to fill following Christopher Reeve's iconic portrayal of
Superman, and even five years later, you'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't think the actor is a great choice for the role. Zack Snyder's
Man of Steel sought to put its own stamp on the Superman mythos, and the scene where Clark Kent learns to take flight for the first time is pretty darn close to perfect. Complete with Hans Zimmer's resounding score, watching an ecstatic Clark take off into the sky for the first time was a memorable moment for most Superman fans.
Wonder Woman (2017) - No Man's Land
Wonder Woman may be one of the newer DC films, but many would contend that it's probably their best effort, and the scene of Diana fearlessly crossing "No Man's Land" makes that difficult to contest. After being told by Steve Trevor that it's impossible for any man to cross the battlefield, Diana shrugs off her disguise and walks from the bunker confidently, using her shield and bracelets to deflect enemy fire. Diana's act allows the soldiers to cross the field, and serves as a wonderful representation of her determination, courage, and compassion for others.
Batman v Superman (2016) - Warehouse Ambush
Many took issue with Batman's penchant for murdering criminals in
Batman v Superman, but no one could deny the epic way the Caped Crusader takes out a host of armed men in the film's warehouse fight. Looking almost like live action adaptation of the combat in Rocksteady's Arkham video games, the scene features a brutal takedown of the criminals guarding Martha Kent, and is arguably the best Batman scene ever put onscreen.
