It looks like we might be finding out what Disney has planned for its forthcoming slate of Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic Universe projects sooner than expected.

Disney is set to host an event on March 5th in London ahead of the launch of Disney+ in Europe, and key executives and creative teams are expected to be in attendance to discuss the Mouse House's future plans. We don't have any specifics, but there's a good chance we'll get confirmed premiere dates for the streaming service's Marvel TV shows such as Loki, WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Solider.

We could even get details on some of the as-yet unannounced series we know are also in the works, but that remains to be seen.

On the Star Wars front, updates on the second season of The Mandalorian are likely, and we may also get some news on the Obi Wan Kenobi and Cassian Andor shows.

That's all we have for now, but we'll hopefully find out more over the next couple of weeks. Be sure to keep an eye on CBM for updates.

THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER
Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience—in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.” The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this fall.

WANDAVISION
Marvel Studios’ “WandaVision” blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany)—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this year.

LOKI
In Marvel Studios’ “Loki,” the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Kate Herron directs and Michael Waldron is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ next year—2021.

I don't think my mind or body can take another big Disney conference with no mention of the X-Men...

@CorndogBurglar - I don’t think we will get word on X-Men until next year. Marvel and Disney probably want to get The New Mutants release out of the way before properly developing their MCU debut.

I’m hoping they announce release dates for Moon Knight and the Obi Wan series.

I think at this point, dates for shows are going to fall so that you have MCU content almost year-round

There'll be a 2 month lull between BW and Falcon/Bucky, but then they will basically go Falcon to Eternals to WandaVision to Loki to Shang Chi and so on, so forth

I wouldn't be surprised if we're getting two Star Wars shows a year from next year onward. The only surprise would be if they announce plans for the 2022, 2024 and 2026 movies

What I want to know is how in the hell can they make a profit with streaming content that may cost in the neighborhood of 10 million an episode when at present their gross revenues for all of Disney + will be in the neighborhood of 2.5 billion. And before someone brings up sub growth overseas remember that that also requires them adding overseas content which won't be cheap. At some point reality has got to rear it's ugly head.
